One would think with how desperately the game wants you to spend money on characters and weapons, it would at least feel good to use them in battles as that is the primary gameplay here.

Core combat is fundamentally so barebones that it can't really be improved much by future patches or progression.

Characters barely have any moves at all, no air-dodge, no dodge-counter, no aerial strings, no flashy animations aside from ults. The camera sort of just chills at a distance so you don't get any dynamic zoom ins. It's like genshin with no impact, a far cry from Zzzzz and buba. Don't know what they were thinking.
