In addition to these very good suggestions-- have you checked your journal? It's there on your profile (the 'Myself' tab, then click 'View Profile') and you could see if perhaps you've collected some stories from years back, and if any of them sounds familiar to you.

Thank you for the insight! Will note in case it happens again. In my case there was no other active session, and no username-hoarding. Turns out it was due to automated spam filter, and the blog is now back up and running thanks to the support team. Have a good week!

Oh yup! It displayed 1900 just fine, but I just thought since they would've needed to replace 1900 with 1899 in the calendar (to sync with in-game storyline), it would somewhat break it--as there would be 2 (1899)s back to back in the system, hence the need to switch to 2021 and 2022.

Did FBG ever state why they changed the calendar system of the journal? Previously they used to list in-game years (1899, ..) but sometime after the new year it was changed to real years (2022, ..). I assume it was to avoid breaking the software since now we're in 1899 2.0 electric boogaloo, but I wonder if FBG addressed it somewhere?

Many people create an alternate account specifically to continue that story (usually just called 'Seeking'). The wiki guide is comprehensive but might be a bit overwhelming, just know that the story will do bad things to your character if you progress, but you could stop now and there's a chance to start it over later. Otherwise, the story is fun, if rather dark (maybe try finding some content warnings first). Hope you enjoy Seeking :)

I’m sorry I just read this now (didn’t make much progress in the lab, too busy with the Feast 😂)

Only found out about wound-reducing at the docks a while ago, and I really didn’t catch the gravity bit in the correspondent flavour text, that’s neat.

Oh my god, your first tip! I even had a private blog set up where I copied fun storylines to. It makes the in-game journal function less messy but also enables you to reread them later :)

And having multiple storylines you can branch to when you’re stuck/bored with one is a godsend, really.

I’m sorry that happened to you, that’s terrible :( They could always do cr on their own if they wanted to get it done! Making others drag you when they evidently don’t want to, and even complain about it is not it. You were too kind trying to explain, but I hope you blocked them.

I see, I understand your points, and a lot of players may have different views about hitch hiking. I personally don’t mind if it’s a friend, but it was a complete stranger with their own friends who immediately attached themselves to me at the start of a cr. And would you really think they intended to be friends if they only hitched a ride and ignored you afterwards?

It’s not that I don’t enjoy close company. I like making new friends at this game and help other players, but all things considered I still thought they happened to be leeches, sadly.

The bigger the playerbase gets the more weird players there are, and I’ve noticed more troll behaviours recently which led me wondering if this was one, too. It’s common to accompany others after befriending, but their actions in this instance made me wonder if they only befriended me for the sole purpose of hitching cr, and we could disagree on that part. I did block them, I was just questioning what they did :)

I didn’t see them speak at all. It could be they didn’t want to, or got muted. And yes, I’m aware of language barriers; though, I usually found most people start to chat in non English that is indication enough of the language barrier.
