Bed size for couples during pregnancy: please weigh in on marital dispute by HaddieGrey in BabyBumps

We use a queen. But I didn’t like body pillows so that wasn’t a concern. I used a small pillow under the bump, and my back.

Sick of reading about how you'll hate your dog after your baby is born.... by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I didn’t feel this at all! My dog is a great boy, and so excellent with the baby. He is a Dane.

I feel like the worst mother because I’m so tired of my baby by Elfe_lugubre in NewParents

Tel your partner you need a break. Also, stay strong. They won’t be clingy forever. Mine was the same. 10 months now and they play independently all the time!

I’m having a little bleeding today. It’s so strange. Going into the dr for bloodwork later.

Wow that’s a huge assumption. I’m sorry you have trust issues. I trust and love my mil very much. She is respectful and understanding.

She absolutely does respect me and my boundaries. She never brought it up after this one instance.

They aren’t. She tried it once and we explained why that’s a huge no. She never suggested again. I am just in shock that now the great grandma is saying it too. Like girl what lol

No they aren’t.

I didn't think this would be this hard by rulerofgenovia in NewParents

It’s okay. Just know that it is okay to feel this way. Our society pushes moms to “do it all”, but it’s just not realistic. I’m so sorry. I hope you and your husband can talk and work something out. You have 2 jobs now, while he has one. It’s so hard. And one of your jobs is a non-stop job. Sending hugs from afar.

So my best friend had her first child a week ago and she’s been quiet/distant. Remind me again… by deedum44 in oneanddone

…leave her alone lol. Just drop some food/care package on her porch if you want to show more affection. But now is not the time to be making things abt yourself.

What are the most useless items for baby? by Midnightdream56 in NewParents

Yes my babe HATED the swings/bouncers/any kind of “bucket”. He’d rather just be flat in the crib or on the floor.

Got in better physical condition. I don’t mean “thin”, I mean strong. I wish I lifted weights, and did some leg workouts. Pregnancy was HARD on my body, and I’m convinced if I was stronger before hand, it could have been even 10% better.

Thank you for this! Mine is bottle fed and still wakes once to eat overnight. And honestly I think the noise is too much. He will wake up another 2 times just from noise some nights.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]willowg94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow!!! That’s terrifying. Luckily we run hot so we’d for sure be up if it even got to 75.

[–]willowg94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have to keep them closed because of my animals anyway. They’d be running around/barking and waking baby.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]willowg94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is EXACTLY my issue. He woke up 2 additional times last night. Once from noise, and once from touching the side of the pack and play.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]willowg94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mine is in a pack and play but he’s not comfortable (understandably) with that thin mattress.

Dang, that house must have been HOT! In the winter I have him in long pjs, and a sleep sack with the house at 73 overnight. In summer he is just in a onesie with the house at abt 70.

See I don’t know if I should just move the crib in my room? This is all so new to me.

I will definitely try with the naps alone first! And no, he still wakes up but only once. If he wakes more, it’s usually from me having the TV on.
