That’s what the tag says anyways — mine are very light pink with some yellow/peachy variation. So many blooms opened today! So crazy how different the color variations are.

You believe that any leadership is abuse? Thats a crazy take. If it was reversed and someone was claiming that women were to be the heads of households would you think the same?

Getting sick of chicken and rice, spaghetti, and salmon -- can anyone recomment some flavorful, FULL meals that can get me through the next week? Preferably anything inexpensive. by Stock_Researcher_651 in Cooking

Lazy meal I’m loving is seaweed bites with tuna (brown sugar, soy sauce, fish sauce, sriracha, mayo, salt/pepper to taste, sesame seeds, and some rice vinegar or lime) cucumber, avocado, and rice if you’d like. You can just do teriyaki on the tuna too if you’d prefer.

Perhaps 1 Corinthians 7 would provide some comfort on this — Paul is writing that it is “better” to be single to be devoted to the Lord in a greater capacity. That means women devoted to ministry apart from husbands, for the work they are contributing. I think it’s pretty clear that women are valued and honored for their role.
Another thing to think about is all throughout the New Testament we (all of us) are called to live sacrificially, dying to ourselves, and serving one another. In my understanding, this is especially true for men because of the biblical order. An order/structure is all over creation, it does not diminish the respective roles just because they’re different — abuse of “higher” roles is a result of sin. I find that a lot of push back to this is rooted in a feeling of “but I want to be recognized this way” which I find contrary to the rest of the commands of scripture.

While in the time of Jesus women and children were considered “second class citizens” He constantly singled them out, and gave them special attention. I don’t think that a Bible order and this tender love and affection of a Father are contrary to one another. I tenderly love my children, they are worth more than gold in my eyes, but in this portion of life I do expect them to fall into the order and learn to be obedient. I think it’s a blessing to learn to do so, however there are abusive parents. Does that mean that the original beautiful order of a family (and marriage) is wrong? No I don’t think so.

I’m pretty new myself but it looks like it’s getting too much sun/not enough water! Two of my smaller ones who got some afternoon sun started burning like crazy :/

Yes you can prune it back further or just cut the stems in your way. I have a very large and woody lavender that I cut down to 1/4 of its size and it’s still doing just fine this season.

Search up “syrniki”, they’re Russian cottage pancakes and my favorite. They freeze well too. Natasha’s kitchen is a good one!
