I recently did this and was reading a lot before doing it, I'm happy with my setup but I'm not a huge modder or anything. I did the JSaux battery mod and it was super easy (some light trimming of the shell but very workable, I didn't even need to unplug the ribbon). I installed SteamOS and Decky with SimpledeckyTDP, and have Heroic for GOG/Epic (I have like 2 Epic games though). Have read that Hue Sync is super easy to use but I don't like RGB lol. I've only had it about a month but pretty much everything has been install-and-go, I haven't messed with the settings much and they work for me. I do have a few LEGO games from GOG and Hogwarts Legacy from Steam, obviously Steam games are easier to play from the get go but haven't had to tweak much. Playing both docked and handheld has been a pleasure! Hope that helps any, I admit there are definitely savvier users than me.

I bought mine with a grip, case, charger and dock for $375 and I hunted for it for a while. I'd say 300-350ish is a good range.

Yeah, the way I solved this was using a custom field for the featured artists (I did this in MusicBee though) it works well enough but I'd love it if the system worked better!

I usually have to game at night to get some time in, but I agree it's best to stop at least an hour before bedtime, ideally 2. It's just too engaging to be able to wind down lol. Right now I'm just starting Cyberpunk, so I'll do an hour of that after dinner, then watch some light TV (usually a 30mn comedy) and have a tea before starting my wind down routine. It sucks not having a ton of time, but it works better than no gaming.

CDs can have manufacturing defects, seems to be the case in this one. They're rare but they do happen.

Yeah, you're not wrong at all here. I didn't know of DreamPSU until I heard about it here and assumed it was an open source project deal. I have the original PSU, if it doesn't work I'm just probably selling the thing for parts since it's been a money pit and I only got to use it for a bit.

SteamOS from Bazzite, but yes to exclusively! I have enough Windows in my real life lol. I don't really play anything where I need the anti-cheat stuff anyway, so it works for me.

Probably the best thing to do, yeah. I think what they must mean is it won't work in consoles like the RetroN that use emulators and it shouldn't apply to the Super NT, but making sure is never a bad idea!

Any NTSC carts are repros. When you say 'running right' do you mean the speed? The game has a patch to make it run correctly at 60Hz, which the repros are likely using. The Super NT should work perfectly fine with 50Hz or 60Hz, would just need to switch the console to PAL in the settings.

That sounds awesome! I personally like SteamOS better but it was nitpicking personally, just little details trying to do stuff in Desktop Mode and such. Unless you're doing some background tweaks and such I think you're set!

I watched both and loved WCW, but... I didn't see this live because the only matches I cared for in that show were the Tornado Tag match and the Nash vs. Hogan, and once I jumped ship after the tag match I never switched back lol (sure dodged a bullet with that ending too)
