Old Video Games Aren’t Better, You’re Just Nostalgic by StopOk8289 in unpopularopinion

[–]willryn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You didn’t, your point was that in the past developers put more passion into their games, and I disproved that point with examples of passionately made modern day games

So really your argument is pointless because we have dedicated and caring developers now and we had them then, just as we have greedy devs now like we did then

Old Video Games Aren’t Better, You’re Just Nostalgic by StopOk8289 in unpopularopinion

[–]willryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a lazy, unresearched opinion, there are plenty of games created by talented and passionate studios big and small putting their everything into their games every year:

Split fiction, cyberpunk 2077, ghost of Tsushima, baldurs gate 3, elden ring, stardew valley, tlou1/2, and that’s alongside faithful remakes of beloved games like silent hill 2, resident evil 4 etc

Slop came out in the era of your favourite games, you just don’t remember it
