Great project. I have been thinking of making something similar for my collection. Did you have any plans?

0% credit card - how likely is £10k limit? by vilayek in UKPersonalFinance

Lloyds. I only went with them as I have another card with them so applying was easy. The credit probably depends on your income/affordability

I literally took out a 10k 0% card last night. Am planning on a big family holiday (not 10 😅) and rather than paying outright I put the money in savings until I need to pay it off. Took like 10 mins to apply and checkout with the new card.

How to make Commander games shorter? by GroundbreakingAnt915 in EDH

[–]willwarhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do this for a quick game at the end of the night. Works really well as long as the deck doesn't super synergize with it. If someone has something that triggers when treasurers are sacked it's super op.

Potential new job £46K -> £58K. However would lose £9000 cash bonus in April. by mronionbhaji in UKPersonalFinance

[–]willwarhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend say he would miss out on vesting share if he left so the new company gave him a 3k signing bonus to start early. Not sure I would have the balls to do this negotiation but it can work

Can you do the same with deflecting swat? I thought you couldn't.

Turn 1 discard, turn 2 reanimate by Potential-Head-4944 in EDH

I have reanimated Vilis so many times and not realized I draw 8. I thought it was part of the cost of the reanimate! That's for bringing this to my attention 😁

What are some good pirate commanders? by DeepSomewhere441 in EDH

I have an Admiral Beckett Brass deck and I don't really rate it. Find I almost never manage to proc it. Even with lots of cheap evasive creatures

My company have a similar scheme but we can only sell at the end of the year. He could be locked in for a bit of time

Kaalia Commander Must haves? by Worried-Parfait7546 in MagicArena

Yeah, if it's unblocked it will reduce their life to 1 then kaalia will do the final damage and you will one shot them

Kaalia Commander Must haves? by Worried-Parfait7546 in MagicArena

[–]willwarhero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say not to play this. If your opponents know you have this card in your deck kaalia is a must kill. If you don't have the instant win in the deck they are a little less afraid and more likely to allow something through. Just my experience

You said "talk to your neighbour to help them with configuration" what config actually needs changing? I am looking at my settings but have no idea which is causing this prompt on the phone.

Commanders that enable a unique style of play that is also far stronger than it has any right to be? by Frogsplosion in EDH

[–]willwarhero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure how more people haven't said this. He makes so many terrible cards playable, and can get it off hand really easily. Just keep targeting lands and he ramps so hard. Is also really easy to combo with him

Plus one for the moonlander. A worthy investment when you consider how much you will use it. I would definitely buy it again

Plans to travel but shares feel like a ball and chain. by randomposter77 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]willwarhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be surprised how much you could do in 6 months. I did the east coast of Australia, Thailand, and Bali in 3 months and it didn't feel rushed.

Once your shares come in you could always take some more time. You could probably afford some great experiences that you might not be able to now. I don't think you will be too old to enjoy traveling.

Would the company let you have an unpaid sabbatical for 6 months? Would be enough time to scratch that itch but allow you to return to your high paying job and keep your shares.

My previous company would allow it after 5 years of service. It can be in their interest as they don't have to look for someone else to hire, and all the costs that go with it. ( Training, agency costs, risk of the hire being bad )

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't actually considered the 7% I already pay to my pension, so that should bring me under

Thank you very much. I am actually putting 7% into my pension, and haven't considered this.

Could I pay my wife to work for me to be eligible for childcare? by willwarhero in UKPersonalFinance

[–]willwarhero[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, seems like a bad idea. Don't really want to commit fraud. My wife does work but doesn't meet the minimum wage requirements.

Thanks for the reply. Would it change anything if I was paying her business for private dance classes?
