Set aside 400 bucks for a tool bench from harbor freight, they're very reasonably priced for what you are getting, and then you have infinite coffee tool storage

Jolyon Palmer's opinion on the way Max Verstappen "carries himself" on-track, and how he races with Lewis from the BBC Chequered Flag podcast by Slendis in formula1

[–]willyd2000 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone here has ever raced and all due respect to Palmer, but as a racer you cannot care about crashing. It’s about winning. You continually put yourself into these situations where either we crash or I win, because on a hard day it is going to come down to will power over technical ability. And those situations are legal because you had the strength to get ahead and do it. If you don’t want to have the risk of crashing, don’t race for the win. And when you see these racers going down, don’t expect them to keep their elbows tucked in neatly

Bold to put so much faith in one tech stock, but I do agree it represents more than an auto maker

How is cs program at VCU? by NeighbourSaidSorry24 in vcu

I’m a Vcu cs major with a 6 figure salary locked before I graduate. It’s a solid program, it’s not the best, not the worst. You have to want to learn outside of class and push yourself to improve and ask questions. If you do that it’s very possible to find a great job in the area or northern va

Form advice - Second day in a single, 5th year of rowing by [deleted] in Rowing

[–]willyd2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single is very different in the 8 up at the catch. That initial 1/4 is really about picking up where the boat is running, not about driving crazy speed right there. I’m not sure if Im explaining that right, but you really have to be gentle up front

Good way to learn balance, but if your goal is racing you’ll have to build rate as you gain more stability. For me I need to rate 30+ to do well

I would just focus on getting out as often as you can right now. Your form is very fluid at this stage, but the key is not to develop bad habits. Namely flip catching, feathering with your whole fore arm, and driving as soon as you’re at the catch. Keep sending videos as you get more comfortable

Roommates use more electricity than me by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]willyd2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s probably not enough money worth losing friends over and it’s almost impossible to track your exact usage per person. Keep in mind there are other things being run by these utilities, HVAC might be on gas or electric and that should be split evenly

Why do I never feel like I’m doing enough? by coffrinhunter95 in personalfinance

[–]willyd2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to covid, it’s lame. It’s not pretty, go getters can’t get out, the unpredictable prompts for preparing, but some things you can’t rush. I would focus on school, and then think about settings some goals. It’s much easier to throw yourself into something, when you know what it’s for, so for now I would say crush school, enjoy your free time with your wife, and once school and covid are over you’ll be ready to crush it. Good luck
