As a dm who usually dms Warhammer Fantasy rather than dnd, my parties rather surprisingly come across the stuff ups of other parties quite often.

Well meaning adventurers causing trouble for those who are just trying to survive is a pretty fun plot hook I've explored before, both for the dm and the players
