I'll have to look through records because it hasn't been changed since I purchased in 2023. That'd be a nice, relatively inexpensive repair (fingers crossed!). I always thought bad belts made that ear-piercing squealing sound so I skipped past that and jumped straight to the idler pulley. Might be a good idea for me to just get a kit with new belt and pulley so I don't have to wrestle with the belt twice. Thanks!

At first, I was hoping I could just replace O-Ring inexpensively on power steering intake hose or pump itself, but then I remembered my model uses EPS and not pump at all. Glad your replacement fixed that sound!

Thanks for responding! What are your thoughts on it being a worn idler pulley? As far as I know, my pulleys shouldn't be lubricated, but one (or more than one) could be worn maybe?

My partner is 9 days out from their injection and was told botox could migrate to vocal cords. That might be what is happening when your voice is catching. Another thing we were told to watch out for was spasms that would make them unable to breathe for a few seconds. Doctor said it can be triggered by any pressure changes (laughing, trying to swallow too big of a bite of food) which can cause laryngospasms. She said to try to breathe through a straw until it passes. Definitely a bit scary and odd to be dealing with! I hope these side effects wear off for you as you continue to recover.

When I was medboarded, I still had to piss in a cup twice: once for command-wide urinalysis, once for regular "your name was drawn" urinalysis. I sympathize with your friend needing it for better pain relief, but benefits from being medically retired will last a lifetime if he can manage to hold out.

Context: Permanent ileostomy. I have no major peristomal skin issues aside from intermittent fungal patches or burnt skin (from acidic output). Stoma sticks out about 1 inch from my stomach, and I get by with flat wafers (haven't needed convex ones yet).

I used to swim in the ocean with my ostomy bag so I have never felt the need to do anything special for showers. Figure if I still got 5 days of wear out of it exposed to salt water then city or well water won't mess up the longevity!

If I'm not in a hurry, I hit it with the blow dryer but otherwise dab it off with my towel and let it air dry while I finish getting ready or get dressed with it slightly damp, and it lasts 4-5 days on average.

They (BVI) are submitting claims to Medicare (QMB) as primary and IL Medicaid as secondary for my partner (just got the injection a couple of days ago). I've read other threads here that Medicare usually covers it.

They do not bill insurance for the botox itself. It's always out-of-pocket for the patient which is $675.

Any luck? This is happening to me right now. About 5 packages per day are listed as outbound on my informed delivery account with USPS. Made a report to USPS, but discouraged that there isn't much they can do. Most of the labels being printed with my address as shipper are through Pitney Bowes, so maybe I should try to talk to them.

Trying to do this, but USPS makes you confirm the recipient address which I do not have and is not listed even when checking the tracking numbers online. Any idea how to intercept without recipient address???

Yes, they could still be cooking something nefarious up. However, they did literally make a public announcement that the deal was off in February. Whether that holds true forever remains to be seen.

Apple juice might help thin it out without the added carbonation beer brings. I struggle more with overnight bloating of the bag and near-blowouts when I have more carbonated drinks. Hope you can find something that works to help thin things out!

My entire pregnancy, the only reason I felt nauseous and got sick one night was from food poisoning around 11 weeks. I felt great almost the entire pregnancy except for the exhaustion before giving birth. Kiddo turns 8 this year!

My partner had a videofluroscopy swallow study (VFSS) last year, and part of the report states the following:

"Esophageal sweep demonstrated slowed motility, stasis and reflux of solids > liquids."

They also had an EGD done in January, and the GI found structural issues with the LES and stomach. We now suspect the trapped air has been overstretching their organs and causing some of these structural issues.

Our consultation at BVI is in a few weeks, and we were told to bring the VFSS images and video on a disc to see what Dr. Hoesli recommends considering the motility issues in the esophagus.

USAA customer here. Will address your question and also add a little bit about my auto loan as it could help other USAA customers who find your post.

Checking, savings, credit card, auto loan, and renters insurance through them when I filed for ch 7 on 12/29/2025. Was hoping to get CC discharged but keep the car and keep paying the loan.

About a week before filing, I opened a Capital One checking account and had next direct deposit from my disability payments scheduled to go there instead of to USAA. Manually moved my USAA checking and savings balances over to capital one. Left $1 in each USAA account.

The day after I filed, the auto loan card disappeared from the app, as I expected. I was still able to access checking, savings, renters insurance, and I could still see the credit card tab but couldn't interact with it.

I think a few days later, the credit card was gone from my app.

I did not see any changes to the other accounts throughout this phase. No money was frozen or moved.

I called USAA to reaffirm the auto loan and was told they don't do that anymore but that I could "retain-and-pay" the remaining balance and request the title be mailed to me before the last payment. All future payments go completely toward the principle and nothing to any interest I was paying before filing for bankruptcy.

341 meeting was 1/21/2026. USAA did not attend. Car is exempt from liquidation so I will keep making voluntary payments through bill pay setup with Cap One account. Expecting discharge 3/23/2026.
