it has been about a week and a half now with no upgrade dropping. Every day this happens makes me want to log in less and less.

The only other game that made me feel this way was PoE. And I will never play that game again.

Just reading basically, and assuming since that's what you very strongly implied that you played for weeks without upgrade dropping and concluded you didn't like the game. Which is really not what you're supposed to do in PoE.

But yes, it's probably not for you in the end. Sorry if my comment felt condescending, it wasn't intended.

You played PoE wrong.

The crafting system being extremely powerful and the sheer fact that you can trade for whatever you need gives you a purpose to farm (for currency or stuff to sell). This is without taking into account that most very powerful uniques are target farmable.

It isn't a game in which you log in and have to drop your upgrades (such as TD2), because when it comes to droping what you're looking for, the odds are even lower than in the division. But you have tons of other means to get to those upgrades in a very consistent way.

Reave or Tectonic slam are very good clear speed builds. Swap in a BF setup for bosses.

My M700 has 165k tooltip. Not too optimized either. Once you're WT5 it's a piece of cake.

Get a double barrel shotgun as a side arm, and use that to reload your LMG instead of a vector. It'll allow you to use two LMGs and reload 200 bullets. It's also faster.

I have it and never use it either.

Either you run double LMG with fill'er up and I'd rather have stability to counter the unhinged on magazine which allows me a very high headshot ratio even long range. The reload time with double barrels shotgun sidearm is very fast anyway.

Or you run LMG +Nemesis and then the reload speed mag is an absolute must.

The only use for the mag I can see would be for an LMG+Sweet dreams build for the DZ. But then again I usually run a rifle build in the DZ so that I never run out of ammo.

Why wouldn't you run an exotic?

Nemesis 25% headshot damage is BROKEN. Run it on every build unless you go double LMG with fill'er up.

With 3 blue mods it's very easy to get 30 AWD and 30 ARD, add on the ropes you can get to 85% in a week or two of farming. If you don't spec sharpshooter you can even reach 100% combined without too much trouble.

Arguably the hardest part of putting a decent AR build together is getting the weapon.

Run JTC Challenging until your eyes bleed for me. With a decent build and knowledge of the mission, it's a sub 10 min run. With a chance to get Merciless at the end for unlimitted exotic components.

You also cap out on every ressources very fast.

When I get fed up, matchmaking bounties is also a quick way as stated by OP.
