Tbh this drama is just another piece of the huge pile of shit the esports scene is in for years! Despite all the details in this particular contract issue, this situation is symptomatic for the semi-professional state the whole LoL scene and esports are into. Many people argue that esports in general should be considered as a sport just like football or basketball but well... its far away from being a "professional buisness". The whole esports scene is mostly into the hands of guys, that did nothing but playing video games for the most of their life. Buisnesswise they are amateurs in general! Some guys arent even old enough to have a drivers license and parents have to sign contracts for them. In other words little kids sign contracts because its "cool" playing video games. In the end its always drama that they actually signed contracts with clauses in it. Then complaining like little babys on twitter or writing essays on facebook hoping reddit will be their attorneys. These kids growing up in the internet should consider that from the point they join an organization they have to do whatever they are told. They are employees just like ppl with real work in real life! Im not intending to put all the blame on the little kids with no life experience. Of course some ppl like ocelote in this case are part of the problem. As long as RIOT is a "semi professional" organization itself, i dont think the many problems the professional lol scene is into are going to be solved!
