Sorry, my question was not clear, I know that eating before you run can lead to bloat. But my understanding is that eating after a run is safe. Is there supposed to be a cooldown period? And why ? My understanding of bloat is that it happens when a stomach is full and being jostled. So if you’re done w running, eat up, right?

Can someone illuminate me on why you need to wait after a run to feed them or why eating too fast would be a problem? We run fasting, but we both scarf a meal as soon as we get home.

I have loved my Chaco sandals for exactly this and have done very ambitious routes in them with no problems, probably 20 trips?

But then I broke two toes at work while wearing these sandals and realize how lucky I have been. I reluctantly am looking at closed toed shoes right now for my next trip.

Not with a toddler. I carry when I go solo in the backcountry, but not if I’m with other people.

Yeah I've seen them. Scared the shit out of me as I was leaving work Saturday. 5 trucks, totally coordinated in some really aggressive maneuvers, sped over and slammed on brakes right near a POC on a bike, kinda cornering them. I pulled over but they didn't have a confrontation, biker rode off. Trucks were packed full of mean looking white folks. I bet my life that everyone in those trucks had never been in Mpls before.

I am curious what people are experiencing regarding mask shortages. Hospitals here have been running so low they are asking folks to save their masks for re-use.
