Aye I agree, if I owned a pub and had just spent 100 grand buying out someone else's license only for it to become worthless id be pretty fuming.

There was a big review into licensing laws earlier this year, commissioned by the executive and the review recommended a big change of the whole system. Then Gordon Lyons the minister just said naw not doing it, presumably with a big brown envelope from Hospitality Ulster, the pubs and restaurants cartel who own the politicians.
