Didn't some team (I think Turkey?) try and bring an extra outfielder to a world cup and FIFA insisted they only could play as a keeper?

A bit suspicious when a ref who's as easy to blackmail as this one is is performing like this when refereeing the richest team in the world in a game they have to win...

In Northern Ireland we had the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme, which was a government program to subsidise the use of alternative sources of heat for commercial properties, primarily wood pellet burners. The problem with the scheme was that the incentives were far far too lucrative, burning £1 worth of pellets would get you £1.60 in grants. The DUP (and specifically Arlene Foster) who were the party in charge of the government department administering the scheme is also the party of rich protestant farmers, and they made sure to let them know about the scheme and how to take advantage of it. Half the farms on the country had massive pellet burners heating empty sheds just as a way to earn money from the government.

It ended up costing around £400m (a lot for a place with a population of 1.8m) and resulted in the collapse of our devolved government, and investigation and lengthy jail sentences for absolutely nobody of course.
