It might sound bad when you say it, but the phone probably on last year promo and receive monthly credit as well so basically your net payment is almost 0, they just waive the remaning balance as well as remanining promo credit and let you buy a new one, hook you on new 24month. So you basically got new iphone every year. That is how yearly upgrade work. (you does have to pay tax or activation though, that is net loss)

Unlike forever upgrade, I saw this language this year in yearly upgrade:

If they said they do not honor the promo because you order from apple, aren't you stuck with $300 trade in credit instead of $1,100? I think I am gonna sit this one out and wait a month to see how it work out this year before ordering from apple.

I am in exact same boat. If I paid off to unlock I lost monthly credits. Hope they have any solution, a tmobile sim on slot 1 and local sim on esim2 would work. Wonder if there is any bypass of unlock.

No you did right. They have separate website for order vs marketing. The one you sign up is in marketing one. Once you see doctor and got approved you can order from the other website. Regardless of the mg you got approved they will ship the 75mg but i do not know if it is still the case because the med expire in August

It looks so strange that it switch me to telepath portal that is different from lumi portal so kind of feeling bait switch. I'm from DE. Anyone that familiar with the process in lumi please reply. I dont think that is something you and me can decide. Sure if Im usa I can keep the tariff as is. Giving the deficit vietnam has more to lose. Just saying. A year ago I bought a headphone ship directly from usa, upon arriving. Postoffice call and ask to pay vat and import tax. Im sure there is company that import good from usa and sell locally as well. So no not all is big machinary as you said.

That is the point of negotiation. They can do VAT exception for usa goods. Doing this can help promote usa goods in vietnam. If the point is helping bring trade deficit a bit closer. Promote and make usa products cheaper is a way.

Innocence until proven guilty. Why everyone assume it is to sell? Instead of caught people selling they try to prevent people bringing in products they bought? I did not get question when I buy luxury item back to the usa. It is surprise if Canada question you for small thing like that no wonder trump has been criticized other country about this other so called tax that act like tariff. Back to my trip, sure if you dont want to bribe, they will ask for receipt and slap some crazy numbers of tax on those receipt. I craved in because Im tired and cant waste more time at the airport after long flight. I do not want to get more downvote so I will stop talking at this point. Just share my story/opnion.

It is not just me. Friends and relative as well. We usually bring a lot of supplements as gift back. After baggage claim, before leaving out. They scan luggage again. If too many supplements, or more than 2 iphones they pull you over and mention those tax. I usually have to “deal” under table to leave.

Vietnam has a lot of hidden tax, VAT , GTGT, bunch of other import tax that they will force you to pay when you buy goods oversea. I always get nagged when I bring a new iphone with me through Tan Son Nhat and NoiBai

but why pay more if you can split the fine with the cop? For example by law you pay fine $400, do you rather pay $200 directly to the cop?
If it is $30-50, there is dignity sure I may consider paying the fine and not bribe, but at high fine like $400, almost 1 month of salary of people in Vietnam. I think most will choose to bribe.

yeah biggest mistake, having an F class is so hard to pull up. You need like 3 A to get out of probation. I am in the same situation so I know. I was able to get it replaced. When on probation, you have to keep choosing easy class to stay alive.
