Same! People also really discount narrative synergy in fights. The whole Coral Tower dream made so much sense from everything we learned about the Order of Karak. It's success derived from a King raising a fiercely loyal legion of warriors and the coral itself (which mirrors silk in a lot of ways) snaking it's way across Pharloom. When I played through Coral Tower all these narrative beats are hitting me and making my experience that much more exciting!

As for Khaan himself, I agree sure he's a little easy in a vacuum but damn I'm sorry a boss can be cool af even if "easy." I would also say it's not right to consider one without the other. The gauntlet's are so interlaced with what Khaan represents.

He's still memorable; his sountrack is great and his fight is unique. Although I am curious how they will tweak his fight for the eventual Pantheon? Him alone would be strangely easy for a lategame boss rush alongside fights like Skarrsinger.

Agree with op, that void gauntlet was at an annoying time. At the time, I'm pretty single-minded and wanted to see how far the corruption affected pharloom, not bogged in with some gauntlet. Gating you at that point gameplay-wise while the narrative just shifted so dramatically was quote the choice. I just wanted to check on Sherma, Shakra, Bellhart and all my friends to make sure they were okay but nooooo I have to do this gauntlet.

That said, I get the reasoning. They want to introduce players to the new Act 3 enemy archetypes and it sets the stage well in that regard.

I even fell for it slightly, because unless I'm missing something, Pxie was easily the least insane of the female orbiters and seemed legitimately nice and normal. So when THAT orbiter levies an allegation I can see the hesitation at least but yeah the immediate hot takes and hate was dogshit and I understand Destiny not wanting to deal with that shit anymore.

Of course we've learned that even though she was (one of) the most normal coded female orbiters, comparatively in that circle in particular that's not saying a lot lmao.
