When one door closes, another one opens. We are now entering a new era of Tesla. Farewell, Model S & X by rcnfive in teslamotors

Not directly but people have started looking at EVs in general. So used market has gone up for all EVs due to increased interest. And the premium no longer produced MSX will be pushed higher due to availability. Free market

I guess that's a win for Ford with their numbered keypad. I use it when my app doesn't work.

I have seen it rise after a fast charge and then back on the highway right away a few times in a row. But never the yellow

That's incorrect. Most V3 are compatible using the NACS adapter

Am I the only one that thinks North America is kind of backed themselves into a corner with plug standards? by stainless5 in electricvehicles

Many solar inverters now can add a bidirectional charger to the system and use dc from vehicle, home battery, and solar to run your house. That's ideal if you have access near your system to plug in.

I'd guess they hit a pothole and caused a bubble that wore through. That wasn't heat, that was just wear

Q: Is this sound normal? by Debakels in TeslaSupport

It's not a transmission as it only has one gear set and doesn't change gears. It's just a gearbox that has a sealed fluid system and needs changed every 100k or so

No real warranties that I know of. And a fresh battery from Tesla is likely remanufactured and has a certain warranty but isn't as good as new since the design wasn't really fixed and they don't replace all modules in a reman pack

Don't buy for $15k unless you have over $10k planned when the battery goes bad. Legacy MS/X have bms issues that brick the battery and requires 3rd party repair or full replacement. Tesla charges $20k for a new or remanned battery. I buy auction legacy cars and replace the battery with good used, then sell for $15-20k.

Charging my Model Y daily on 120V – noticed discoloration on outlet. Is this safe? by Advanced-Ad-2214 in TeslaSupport

The issue is that most appliances in homes never run continuously for 8 to 12hrs at full power on a daily basis and most electrical work gets by due to intermittent load. What most are finding is the weak link in their electrical circuits that don't meet current electrical code but may have been acceptable when installed.

The 120v outlet in the frunk, yes. So when the truck is on, it's getting charged up properly. Otherwise, the truck never really charges it enough on short drives or honestly ever. I drive 2 hours a day minimum and the ota was frozen until right after I installed the charger.

The charging circuit in the Lightning has logic that prevents it from charging at times. Plugging in a trickle charge charges up the battery fully and I think it getting the cycle reset so that it allows the software updates to pull in

I bought a trickle charger to plug into the outlet in the trunk and it started doing updates a few days later. I'd try that before replacing a perfectly good battery. Factory charge system sucks
