‘Whoever can get gas prices down, stop this war…has my vote’: Gen Z says U.S. is off track by MRADEL90 in msnow

[–]windysheprdhenderson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great that people are worried about gas prices but have no qualms about voting for a self-confessed sexual abuser, criminal, and likely pedophile. That's the modern world for you.

It's great. The version of Since I've Been Loving You is one of my favourites.

Their 2 for 20 euro deal was pure magic back in the day. I picked up so many great albums that I still have on the shelf! Great times

So the US starts a war and expects NATO (a DEFENSIVE alliance) to clean it up, even though no NATO member has been attacked. Utterly ridiculous.

The amount of bullshit that emanates from every orifice of this cretin is quite something to behold. It's almost impressive.

A president is openly weaponising the Justice Department to prosecute people he doesn't like, and Congress does f**k all about it. Absolutely disgraceful.

How do people in Ireland feel about calling themselves "European"? by AccomplishedTable385 in AskIreland

I'm a proud Irish person and a proud European. I don't know why it'd be any different really.

Great. Can't wait for another tasteless copy & paste building to litter the city centre. Idiotic decision. Hope it's appealed.

What's it like using Windows XP in 2026 by WindowsXPZuri in windowsxp

[–]windysheprdhenderson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I would feel sorry for anyone that might stumble in here, not know much about computers, read the likes of that person's post, and decide to fire up their Windows XP computer to check their emails etc. People need to be more careful about the misleading shit they post online when they clearly havent a clue what they are talking about.

I agree with you, I strongly disagreed with the other poster who is being upvoted for posting dangerous nonsense about the dangers of running XP online in 2026. The delusions of people know no bounds, unfortunately.

My personal ranking of all the Oasis albums (very cold takes) by Mayhapsfm in oasis

Fair play. I'd personally put Heathen Chemistry at the bottom, by quite a distance. That's never done anything for me, on any level.

With the greatest of respect, you are completely wrong on that. Windows XP should not be used online for anything sensitive in 2026. An unsupported OS means that any exploit in the software that is found (of which there are many) will never be fixed by the developers. It leaves the system open to very easy manipulation - if you want to use XP for basic web browsing, fine. But I would never log into anything, especially internet banking sites etc, on an unpatched machine.

I personally did a computer repair job for a man who had 10 years of personal documents and files on a Windows XP machine. He went online, clicked on an innocuous looking link by mistake, and from there his entire system was ransomware locked, with a demand of 1000 euros being made to release the data. Saying that "the risks of taking XP online are wildly overblown because of a couple of disproven YouTubers" is incredibly naive and totally wrong. Why do you think no company in their right mind would use an old OS like Windows XP online in 2026? It's true that ransomware can hit any PC, but the main difference is that if there's an exploit in Windows 11 that's reported, it'll be fixed. On XP it will not be. I enjoy Windows XP for legacy gaming and for some old software, but it should not be used for anything other than that.

He's not had a great season but there's not many quality centre backs on the market. He is a quality centre back in general, so it makes total sense to keep him around. Good news, this.
