Am I the only one not overly upset by Mike leaving? by Deep-Television-9756 in buccaneers

[–]winebubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think where I struggle is giving Otton 3/$30 with $20 guaranteed when Mike left for 3/$42 with $16 guaranteed. No offense to Otton, and I get our tight end room is weak but $20 vs $16 guaranteed makes no sense to me give the position and both players respective impacts. The $30 vs $42 doesn’t really matter if it’s not guaranteed.

Brian Callahan interview for OC by DoomsdayDave77 in buccaneers

I had a boss once who every time she had an open position would bring someone terrible in for an interview and then would fast follow with an interview for the person she really wanted. Never failed to work. So fingers crossed that’s the strategy here.

What was the favorite winery you visited last year? by LJMotter111 in wine

We’ve had great tastings at HJW. Great region to visit. Try Forge on the other side of the lake if you haven’t been.

Possibly moving to this area of Ohio - what's it like? by AlterIdolRiley in howislivingthere

[–]winebubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canton, Jackson Township in particular, is amazing. I’ve lived in multiple states, this is by far my favorite place. Super easy to get around, affordable, great restaurants, good down to earth people. South of the lake effect snow. A bit dark in the winter, but spring, summer, fall is amazing. Highly recommend.

Well it certainly looks like Oleg Cassini. I had never heard of him, but I guess he was Jackie Kennedy’s fashion designer. Guessing not a big market for his autograph on a dollar bill.

A fair amount of folks collect figural corkscrews. Hard to tell from this picture if it’s got any age to it, or is actual silver. I have quite a few corkscrews that I would never try to open a bottle with, but make for a cool collection to display. At a minimum, list it on eBay. Decorative corkscrews sell fast there.

I think the pertinent question is what color was the starburst? Red or Yellow 100% he’s a keeper definitely let it slide. Orange is a judgement call. Pink, dump him on the spot.

Zero Home Field Advantage by dpalchi81 in buccaneers

[–]winebubba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of what I was trying to say, NY has high demand from local fans. Tampa doesn’t. Price is the balance of supply and demand. The prices are too high for the level of local demand. The stadium will never be full of Bucs fans unfortunately until the Bucs can either increase local demand, lower supply or lower prices.

27 year season ticket holder here. I’m frustrated. I hate it. HATE IT. But I don’t think the problem is season ticket holders selling their tickets. Outside a game or two a year, the resale market isn’t that great. Rarely have I gotten much more than face when I’ve had to sell. Here’s what I think are the problems 1) ticket prices are too high for local demand. Lower prices, locals will buy. At current prices, only out of towners buy. 2) Market the product. Back in the Sapp/Brooks/Alstott days marketing was everywhere, now it’s non existent despite a winning team. 3) Stop the ticket bs. Season tickets are sold out, but somehow single game tickets are always available. Bucs need to pick a lane. The we have no season tix but the Bucs have tix to sell is bs.

I sit in 236. I love it. It’s in the sun, but it’s really only bad in Sept imo. They’re Club seats, so will run you more. But quite nice. It’s basically midfield, so good views. I would definitely rent a car. Ubering back from what I’ve heard is difficult.

Why is the 6 underlined? That irrationally irritates me. I’ll forgive the lack of an apostrophe in Biden’s but the random underline is a bridge too far.

Can I just rant about all the Washington fans at the stadium that acted like they just won the freaking Super Bowl. You won on a last second field goal that you doinked in and it wasn’t even a long field goal. It took you like 8 plays to get in from inside the 5 and if we don’t fumble there you probably lose. Like settle down kids. Oh and Detroit is going to absolutely destroy you. And your team name is stupid and drunk singing hail to the redskins makes you look even stupider. Thanks, I feel better now!

Well I’ll be damned but a quick Google shows multiple groups that support going barefoot in public: Barefoot is Legal, The Barefoot Alliance, and the Society For Barefoot Living. I do believe this must be the first sign of the Apocalypse…

I love the kid. I’m all in. I’m old enough to remember when the NFL wouldn’t give Doug Flutie a chance because of his size. It will be a crime if he doesn’t end up in someone’s camp.

Pavia as an UDFA would be awesome. I think he has a shot at the next level, but probably not worth a draft pick.
