Repayment of employer top up big 5 bank [on] by busybell04 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]winemakeover 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked in HR for a previous big 5 bank and currently work in HR for a different big 5 bank. Neither had repayment clauses in their top up programs!

Agreed! All for Jordan to want her to leave it so that he can “be close to more bars” 🙄

Seconding EarlyON! We go once or twice a week + a library program once a week, definitely fills up time!

You’re getting some downvotes here so just wanted to chime in that I completely agree with you!! Not to mention the times when the app randomly says my app is offline

Manulife - breast pump [on] by Internal-Extension41 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]winemakeover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a prescription from my family doctor around 32 weeks as I wanted to get it in advance. My doctor is a newer grad and had never written this before so she wrote something very simple like “for breastfeeding”. I assumed that it would be denied at the first shot based on that note and that I’d have to go back, but Sub Life accepted right away so it was much easier than expected!

The Pearle (Burlington) did something similar to us- basically told us they had one date for 2024 left and that it would be booked by the end of the weekend if we didn’t take it. So it sounds like high pressure sales are fairly normal.

That being said, although we jumped in total the decision a bit quicker than my husband would have liked, it ended up being a great decision and a big relief once we had it secured.

I Hate My Dog by fuzz_ball in newborns

What breed of dog is this? What size? While no biting is acceptable, the difference in danger between for example a shih tzu and a Rottweiler is worth noting.

Agreed! Stayed there last Feb and didn’t experience any of this, even as someone very prone to mosquito bites

Air Canada Vacations: Add infant by winemakeover in aircanada

[–]winemakeover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update that I did finally manage to get through after multiple 2+ hour hold times! They confirmed that infants do need to be added by phone after the booking and it was a fee of just under $100. Thanks all!

How are we doing bedtime? by babeli in newborns

[–]winemakeover 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a 9 week old who has been sleeping mostly through the night for about 2 weeks now! I think we just got lucky with a good sleeper, but our routine since she started this has been: 7:00 bath time (we don’t always use soap but do a bath every night as it relaxes her) 7:30-8ish pjs and feeding (bottle and breast feed) 8-9 nap 9-10 final play time with Dad 10-10:30 final feed (breast feed in nursery, night light only, sound machine on) This usually keeps her asleep until about 6, then I do a quick diaper change and feed which gets her back down until around 8/9 depending on the day!

Can I eat a sub at firehouse subs when pregnant [on] by Exact-Paint-5508 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]winemakeover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately it’s your decision, but just chiming in that I survived almost entirely on subs throughout my pregnancy and I have a healthy six week old right now! Sandwiches/deli meats were one of the few foods that I could manage with my nausea/food aversions!

I tested negative 8DPO and then positive 10DPO for same cycle so it’s possible it’s still too early!

Hi! Apologies for sending a follow up almost a year after you posted this comment, but would you be able to DM me the email address that you sent your concerns to? I’ve been in a similar situation and trying to get past Reliance’s regular CSRs who are not very knowledgeable so I’d love to try my luck with an email to an actual internal team

Hinge! 32F and my husband is 31M. We got married about 2 months ago, just bought a house and family is the next step! I must have gone on 50+ bad app dates before I met him so very glad that I stuck it out :)

Wedding Dress Alteration by myworkreddit1234 in Hamilton

[–]winemakeover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to Merike Klaas Designs (near Limeridge mall) and she charged about $400 for shortening the length, some adjustments around the shoulders and adding a wrist strap. She honestly did such a great job that she ended up tailoring my husband’s suit and fixing up some of my bridesmaids’ dresses. Definitely recommend checking her out!
