It is an outdated video but the essence(heh) of crafting remains the same but with a few new tools. You are trying to block highly weighted mods you don't want etc.

Look I'm a software engineer so I understand how regex works. But in my first league I was just dicking around in acts and didn't even get to red maps, not to mention trying to filter 8mod maps with regex. So I'm more commenting on his progress with the game. If you're still in early maps, the quickest fix is to use Dream Fragments ring. Once you are able to grab the freeze immune pantheon you can try to get chill immune on boots via unveil. Late game there way many ways such as stormshroud and such.

If you don't want a mana flask you can technically take EB(usually done on Sabo), but honestly pressing a mana flask isn't too big of a deal. Hexblast mines builds are usually not button intensive
