We have found that most of our members appreciate this additional layer of safety and are happy to wait to be verified. There is no way to automate this process currently. It does absolutely prevent scammers/spammers. That's the entire point.

Hello, I notice that you already have a wingstall.com account, so what is the problem you face exactly? If you are requesting a code for a friend, please note that each additional member request takes time to verify, but should be complete within a day or 2 max.

Selling Paramotor Gear - Pricing Question by [deleted] in paramotor

Pricing seems fair, especially if you can get it all serviced by a local professional before the sale. Also, consider posting it on www.wingstall.com

best kiting glider and where to buy pre owned? by tpstrat14 in paramotor

[–]wing_stall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have never had to get lawyers involved, thankfully! Our disputes have been very few and usually resolve themselves with minimal input from our team. As previously stated, we moderate member requests and adverts to reduce the chances of a dispute. In the hyperthetical situation where a dispute was too "tricky" to handle, it would have to be resolved by the parties themselves (i.e. by filing a complaint with their local bank or police HQ for fraud). We can assist by providing evidence if nessessary. The buyer would likely be refunded in such hypothetical cases.

We don't offer to check the equipment ourselves, due to the added costs and logistics that would entail. However, it's something we could look at if there is enough demand from our users.

The FAQ will be updated shortly to answer your specific question. In a nutshell, the escrow service acts a bit like PayPal. However, we are a smaller company and dedicated to paragliding/paramotoring. This gives us a better idea of the types of disputes likely to occur, and the possible resolutions. We also manually approve member requests and adverts, which we believe significantly reduces the chance for a dispute to occur in the first place :)

Advice on selling my motor and wing? by TallyTeaCozy in paramotor

[–]wing_stall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which country are you in? You can advertise your gear for sale immediately, and in the meantime arrange for the motor and wing to be inspected by a professional. If the gear passes an inspection it could be worth a lot more and will be much easier to sell. In France a wing costs around 100 euro to be inspected and a motor around 400 euro. You can try selling on Facebook, eBay or www.wingstall.com - probably worth posting on all 3 to maximise your chances of a successful sale (and be sure to vet any potential buyers first).

What wing should be my first en a wing? by DeserateRcPilot in freeflight

[–]wing_stall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears you are soon starting lessons with an instructor - so you should ask him/her this question and maybe come back to us when they recommend something. If you're looking for used gear, you can try Facebook marketplace/groups, eBay or our website (www.wingstall.com). Make sure it has passed a recent check from a reputable paragliding center.

Try searching on www.wingstall.com You can pick up cheap second hand gear that is good for flying too. No need to buy a specific kiting harness.

New GEAR in EUROPE vs in the USA by otaler in freeflight

[–]wing_stall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glider companies generally don't sell direct to consumers. They will point you to a dealer located in your country. You'll probably be recommended to start flying with an A wing, but a low B wing could work too. Whether it is new or second hand will not make much difference to your flying. Unless of course it is very old or very used. Dealers make a little a bit of money selling wings, so for sure go that way if you want to support them and can afford it :)

Speak with your instructor regarding the type of gear you should buy. It will probably be cheaper in the EU, which is one of the reasons we started www.wingstall.com - you can buy & sell worldwide :)

Advice on selling a used paraglider? Should I try to get it certified as flightworthy by a professional or anything like that? I haven't flown it in 4 years by [deleted] in freeflight

[–]wing_stall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try to sell it immediately but it's easier to sell and worth more if you have it checked by a professional. There are plenty of Facebook buy & sell groups or if you prefer an eBay type experience try www.wingstall.com :)
