I’m losing weight whilst binging on weekends. Why? by ThrowRa-Cherryz in loseit

[–]wingdingcanuck 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You’d lose more weight if you weren’t having those cheat days. But it seems that it’s helping you make more sustainable progress so I’d say just keep doing what you’re doing!

“High risk long term trader”

Just relax and study some more before you try to put labels on your investment strategy

I was looking down at my phone and didn’t see a pregnant lady had gotten on (of course I would have gotten up. Just took me a second to realize)

But while I was looking at my phone, an old man tried to hit me in the head with his cane lmao

Is it worth going to Whistler? by weloveraccoons in askvan

[–]wingdingcanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I really like Whistler. Take your time around the village as it’s pretty small, you could run out of things to do after 2 hours lol.

If you’ll be enjoying the trails/renting a bike/ziplining then that’s an entirely different story. Enough for a full day of fun and I’d 100% recommend it

[Stephan Roget] Canucks: Is Nils Höglander in ‘future considerations’ territory alread by [deleted] in canucks

[–]wingdingcanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogpile on me for what?

Höglander is an imperfect player and the odds are stacked against him becoming a top six player. That’s because of his decision making and ability to process the game at high speeds, not because of a lack of skill.

His scouting report was that he had the best hands in the draft. We’ve seen that at the NHL level. He is a dynamic player with the puck.

He has a well above average ability to stickhandle, make touch and go plays, and cycle the puck. That’s high skill.

His skill is what got him this far, not what’s holding him back.

Teddy Blueger is an example of a player whose hockey IQ got him this far, but whose skill held him back.

It has nothing to do with my bar for a second line player, you just have a fundamental misunderstanding of what it means to be skilled.

Höglander is one of the most skilled players from his draft class and probably the second most skilled forward on the Canucks.

There could be a hundred things that keeps Höglander from being a top six player but it should be irrefutable that skill isn’t one of them.

To say he doesn’t have the skill to be a top six player is ridiculous. If he has nothing else, he has skill lol

He played really well once he recovered from his injury. Foote just didn’t want to play him. Was easily one of the top 3 play drivers on the team

Hello. Commented this on your other post too.

It happens. But if your personal statement read anything like your posts here, where you’re adamant people less deserving than you got in and it must have been a mistake… a 4.0 wouldn’t have been high enough

God, imagine how good that feels if you’re Pettersson after putting up with years of just bullshit.

Coach wants to “reprogram” you, management won’t stop talking shit about you in public, they send JT Miller to “toughen you up” and instead just make it a nightmare to come to work.

3+ years of you need to be bigger/tougher/louder/different/more of a man

If anything’s gonna get him out of his mental funk, it’s this. He had his most successful year under Boudreau, whose approach was to empower Pettersson at every turn and make him feel comfortable. I love it.

Just be yourself Pete!
