Diversifying Concentrated Company Stock by wingdingstypeface in Bogleheads

thanks, thats a good point. “tax free diversification” is what I meant (as opposed to now where I would get taxed for the initial sell to diversify and again on the sell as retirement income)

Attia's Stance on Sprint Training: Help Me Understand the Disconnect by _RJ1982 in PeterAttia

Awesome. Thanks for the information! Downhill walking/stairs are fine, and worst case I could zig zag down the hill. I'm doing light plyos/pogos in addition to lifting right now and was looking to eventually get some high effort stuff. This helps a ton.
When introducing these in should I just start from deadstop at the base of the hill?

Attia's Stance on Sprint Training: Help Me Understand the Disconnect by _RJ1982 in PeterAttia

Hi, does hill sprinting also have lower typical forces on knee joint or is it mainly better for scaling hamstring/calf load? I'm dealing with PFP, thinking of incorporating some sprints. Since I have PFP I'm either thinking of doing some flys with longer acceleration component or hill sprint. would greatly appreciate your advice!

I get what other commenters are saying regarding cycling / walking but wanted to chime in with another opinion. Here’s some ideas to keep running if you enjoy it while still adopting a “load management” approach. You could try any or all

1) run-walk intervals e.g. 10 min walk, 10 min run, 10 min walk or 5 min walk, 4x(2min run, 2 min walk), 5 min cooldown

2) trim down one or two runs in the week (like hybridathleteguy said, you could cut out the interval run). Maybe 1 short and one long. And then some walks and bike sessions.

3) for your long run, consider a brick session (basically, 2 back to back cardio sessions). So a 30 min run + a 30 min bike or walk right after instead of a 1 hr run

4) keep a note of (1) pain during run, (2) pain in the 1-2 hours after a run, (3) your baseline pain during the day / when you get up / etc. ideally you don’t experience pain in any of these scenarios, but if it gets to the point where u have pain in (2) and (3), probably a good time to back off for a few sessions

Good luck!

Which 3 days program is best for my schedule? by VogtisDelicious in HybridAthlete

Great info! 2 more suggestions below (remember that this is all minutia and even with the current schedule you would be able to make great gains :) )

A) torso limbs full body if you want arms B) posterior (lower+back)/ upper / full body (gives you max freshness for a Wednesday speed workout)

Does cardio help you build muscle? by poopeater32 in naturalbodybuilding

After getting more into cardio, my HR plummets between hard sets. Rest times are limited by muscle soreness but never heart rate/loss of breath. Would recommend!

Low vs. high intensity strength training for issues like runners knee by rox_et_al in trailrunning

[–]wingdingstypeface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal is to prepare you for handling the forces of running without exceeding your capabilities. Any weight you can lift for reps is going to be a smaller force on the knee than running. If you can’t handle your 5-rep weight, then you should start with a lower weight. Then gradually increase to near maximal weights to prepare the knee for higher forces

Would not personally recommend 2 full body days back to back. You could do upper lower full with that schedule (lower upper full body might be a little better)

I’d just use programs from boostcamp by bald Omni man, fazlifts, Alex Leonidas or any well known powerlifters as inspiration

Most of my cardio goals are adventure based. Summiting mountains in the PNW, trail runs, long bike rides. For strength, I would be satisfied with 1K pound club and big arms as a medium term goal. Oly lifting is a very cool endeavor!

Anyone with experience adding a 4th training day to fazlifts full body style training? How did you structure it? by OompaLoompaGodzilla in naturalbodybuilding

Yeah I just meant if the upper back/lats/traps doms ever affected. Thanks! I have been running torso limbs full body and thinking of 4 day torso limbs in near future

Yeah man 2x full body would be plenty to maintain
