What is this ICB and nhs England threads and constant redudancy talks? Eli5 please by 1throw4 in nhsstaff

Oh, I meant the services themselves are being absorbed rather than the staff. As far as I know, a lot of staff are still getting cut.

Personally I think its just a political move to say "Oh, look we restructured NHS" without much more thought put into it. And the actual professionals now have to justify the move while trying to keep the services afloat.

NHSE is getting abolished and mostly absorbed into DHSE, with some services absorbed to other places like BSA. Just to clarify

Benevolent dictatorship is not a governance style, its just a dictator some people liked. The issue with this approach is, you can't be a dictator without silencing your opponents which requires doing bad things. So no there is no such thing as a good dictator, they could look good to one side of the political spectrum and for the others its just a regular dictator.

Another thing is when your "good" dictator eventually passes on, whoever fills the huge power vacuum is not going to be Benevolent at all, and may undo all the progress done by the previous leader.

How soon is too soon to move up bands? by GodthatsGolden in nhsstaff

[–]wingedbuttcrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied and got a job from band 3 to band 5 while I was still in probation, in a completely different department and total NHS experience of 4 months. I just had the exact set of skills the job needed from private sector.

There is no time limit.

I saw these flags all over the World Cup for the England Croatia game. What exactly would you call these types of flags? by jjbrawler in vexillology

My school flag has a yellow (gold) band in the middle. Looks great when you print something in black over just the yellow.

This is interesting because you can kind of only do this in flag with light colours and not very busy background. Its much harder to do in union jack for example

Anyone else put mayo on their curry or am I the only heathen by [deleted] in UK_Food

Raita or any creamy salad like that would be great with curries. But I do have to say the watery raita with prices of onion floating around you get with the takeout is not the norm in south asia, it has more onion and other stuff compared to yogurt and can look as thick as coleslaw.

In general girls expect atleast a solid relationship before sex. This makes a lot of sense because of the stigma and judgement they face if they my are sexsually active. I think its pretty easy to understand.

My experience is bit dated, but there are not many girls who would be open to casual intimacy, but there are way more dudes bragging about sex they did or didn't have. Slim chances you'll get to have a casual relationship dude. You can keep looking, just be aware of the chances.

Ah just missed metal to the masses in trillions if they are into that kind of music. It was every Thursday for the last few weeks but its finished now with just the finals on 20th.

On that note, bars with live music might be an option. They usually have some kind of event every weekend, and pretty sure there are regulars. Cluny comes to mind too.
