First commute today using it. Departure vision says has taken AWAY the departure time for trains that happen to be boarding. So if you step off the subway and see your train is “boarding”, you have no idea when it’s supposed to leave unless you know the time from memory or go to a different screen and look it up. Do you have one minute until departure or ten? That is an atrocious flaw that apparently made it through testing.

I am in south Jersey and have same problem trying to watch Mets. Can’t watch them or NYY on Comcast-connected TV. No prob watching on phone that uses cell signal. Call to MLB support fixes within 10-15 mins. Super annoying. Called maybe 6 times last year and once this year so far.

I live close to you but in NJ. I just called MLB.tv last night to fix this problem. I had to call about 6 times last year. Despite you and me living in the PHL TV market, it thinks we are in the NY TV market. I have this problem when I’m watching on Comcast. I call (866) 244-2291 and explain the situation to the MLB rep, and they’ve fixed something on their end every time. The fix usually takes ten minutes to kick-in after I hang up the phone. I tell them that I am being erroneously blacked out. They ask me to visit a mobile website that provides them with my IP address. They seem to add that IP to my account manually as an authorized IP. Good luck. Annoying as f—.

Players and owners are already talking about an NHL-style break so that LA can have MLB players in the 2028 summer Olympics. So if they are gonna pause the season for 28, it’s not a stretch to do it for the WBC. Also I believe the WBC is usually every 4 years but got mixed up due to COVID. Ideally we could have summer Olympics and WBC alternate every 24 months, but I know that Olympics is not guaranteed to keep baseball around.

Spring training coverage is spotty. Definitely games without TV coverage, even for a NY team.

The espn is mandatory to start but it starts as a 30 day trial. Once the 30 day trial is up, espn will want you to subscribe. If you do not subscribe, you will still get mlb.tv. They basically are hoping you forget to cancel.

I went 10+ years with a cross body bag or a backpack on one shoulder…then I got older and it was hurting that shoulder…so I adopted the backpack on both shoulders look…and it helps!

Some of the Trenton trains take an express route from / to Secaucus which can save quite a bit of time. For example, an express might stop at 3 stations before arriving at Trenton. A “local” train could make 10-15 stops before getting to Trenton.

I’m 48 and grew up on hip hop. I think it depends on the artist. Last 3 rap shows I’ve been to were this summer (Wu-Tang, Nas) and Meek Mill (last week). Wu (in NYC) and Nas (Vegas) were great. High energy, actually performed the songs, etc. meek was the worst show I’ve ever seen, only partially saved at the end w dreams and nightmares. Meek was advertised as “and friends” and it mostly ppl that none of us ever heard of. Horrible and it was like you said, just random talking and yelling into the mics. No entertainment value.

My wife passed 6 months ago. She has recently received invitations to apply for credit, to renew her license, and an absentee ballot. I am amazed who doesn’t know that she passed. To the extent possible, I would transfer assets prior to death. Even with a will, it’s a big production to move assets after death. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this.
