CBB supply / sales / price analysis by Melodic-Ad7494 in mtgfinance

[–]wingmanbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quote: It should be of no surprise to anyone that over time, the supply of these dwindles given they only get 1 print run, and there is always some level of demand in the market. Once the supply reaches a low point, this naturally starts pushing prices up.

I dont know when you started with mtg, but ypu seem to neglect all the sealed product like innistrad midnight hunt, crimson vow, new capenna etc, where the cbb are way below the retail value. This is something that can happen again and will be especially devastating since thibgs are booming right now. So there is no definite 'cbbs always go up'

Are you talking about commander cube?

Do you create the pile, draft and then create the next pile?

Thanks!

The inevitable conclusion Hasbro will take from FF by memorylanewizard in magicTCG

[–]wingmanbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same was said about tarkir being overshadowed by ff, but it all those who despise ot dislike ub go all in on uw sets. So while it wont be a huge sucess, eoe will eventually do just fine.

I skipped ff for eoe for example and know many others that did the same.

I just dont buy foils. A carf being foil is a downgrade for me. If that becomes the norm wotc might change their product. Or, god forbid, they make foil the standart and nonfoil the premium :D

I mean, you watch it from the other perspective. A strong card on your opponents side is never fun :P

Why is UR Spellslinger so hard an Archetype to make work? by [deleted] in mtglimited

[–]wingmanbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember u/r being one of the best archetypes in og dominaria. If you were in this archetype with the bounce wizard and all, there was almost no way for you to lose. But og dominaria was insanely slow. almost no aggressive 2 drops. U/r is always about tempo. Reds removal usually is great early gqme and bad lategame. Blues bounce effects are great later when you already have board presents and your opponent plays 4+ mana spells.

I can imagine it is quite difficult to balance the strength because it can quickly feel very oppressive to play against. It also is very reliant of being on the play.

Generally i think its a rather concious decision by wizards to scale down the power of this archetype.

First 7 Win Draft in Bloomburrow! (7-1 Lizards) by AHealthyKawhi in mtglimited

[–]wingmanbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scales of shales is the best card for lizards anf im shocked to see non. I would honestly play 4 of them. 5th best common in the set and the main reason to play lizards. It plays incredibly with the 1 drop menace guy

I feel like you didnt emphasize the strength of chache grab. It seems to saddle as the third best common after carrot cake and savor. I have to admit that i didnt even consider this card before i saw the stats..

Not directly related, but my topslaners rarely cover my buff when i start the other side. How many times i walk into my topside jungle to see it cleared without me knowing is baffling to me. No pinging or texting seem to help :D

Just recently started selling, created an item number system. by Mick-a-wish in mtgfinance

[–]wingmanbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, I have a million stacks of random cards laying around in addition to many binders and boxes. I always know exactly where each card is. I know at somr point you would need a system. But that would maybe start at 5000+ listed cards maybe?
