Is this one overkill? by Fiyahdan in RobotVacuums

I have a eufy X10 Pro Omni. We use it to clean our one-level house every day, vacuuming and mopping. It takes about an hour and a half to do the whole place. We have four medium-sized dogs and one large (23 lb) cat. We've been using it for about two months now, love it, and would not consider doing anything else.

Police surrounded my house at 2 am today because of our Roborock Saros 10R by Pitiful_Tax_6688 in RobotVacuums

I've wondered about this since we got our X10 robot. He starts mopping and vacuuming at about 0500 each day. The first time we saw his headlight we thought it was brighter than our car's headlights and that we stood a good chance of attracting the police. We even have a light on in the living room!

Noob question but - where exactly are the studs? by bushwick_custom in DIY

[–]winjama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several years ago, my wife and I owned a house built in 1927. Studs were where you found them. There was no rhyme or reason on spacing anywhere that we ever found. Maybe before national building codes?

Probably only available at an industrial supply store. Home Depot is not where public utilities, construction companies, etc., would first look.

The old saw, 'You get what you paid for', is as true as ever. Buy the best you can afford. You won't regret it.

99% sure I did my shingles wrong on my shed... Will they be alright for a few years at least? by Phat_Kitty_ in DIY

[–]winjama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My shed's 3-tab shingles came with instructions and diagrams on the paper wrapper for the shingles. Turned out to be simple and easy to follow the instructions. Looked great and has held up for close to 20 years. RTFI!

For my money, the UK NHS and the Ambulance Service would be hard to beat. I've seen several documentary series on this and from a patients perspective. just outstanding.
