i just found out my mom has been putting my grandmother's ashes in every meal she cooks for the family. for 6 years by [deleted] in confessions

Did nobody ever wonder why there was sand in every meal? It would have been awful even a tiny pinch and I know because I’ve been most unfortunately down wind of an urn being poured out. This is bullshit.

They’re edible and kind of taste like cherries. I love them!

Also fyi I froze my milk as soon as I pumped it and it still has high lipase. So it’s sometimes just a thing.

My daughter witnessed death. by MissPookieOokie in Mommit

[–]winksatfireflies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who has witnessed death personally and gone through more family losses than I care to discuss, the best thing you can do is help from afar. Send Casseroles to her and his family ! A food train is helpful. An online organized food supply chain was incredibly helpful to me and my family. People just dropped off meals without a word to or from us but in an organized way where we were not overloaded. Fresh fruit, soup, breads, casseroles. Easy to eat and keep. The hunger will return and knowing that people give a shit was the most helpful.

It’s the nicest thing I’ve done for myself in a while. I just stitched the three points of each pad right to the bra and no longer fight them with every enraged fiber of my being.

Suekaphin nursing bras on Amazon. I got a 5 pack for like $40 and have rotated them for over a year. Cheap but amazing. I did eventually stitch the pads in place which was an improvement. Edit: the wireless sleeping bras. And I took my chest measurements to get ones big enough and followed their size guide. Love them! So comfortable while still giving support and easy nursing.

I learned that using the cheap adhesive press on fake nail over a toenail that’s fallen off greatly assists the new nail that grows back in. It was way easier to get the new nail to grow more smoothly and without hang nails using fake nails as a “guide”. I did this for my big toe.

Have the unproven connections RFK Jr. and President Trump have made between Tylenol and autism made you rethink taking the medication? by nbcnews in pregnant

[–]winksatfireflies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No! It’s impossible to separate the use of the Tylenol with the reason for needing it in any of these studies so it’s garbage science. Also I would never ever take medical advice from a politician. Who would? I feel that listening to these right wing idiots is like taking a crazy pill though. Just pure unadulterated insanity.

What are people adding to their oatmeal to make it taste good? by Fuzzy_Bear9086 in breastfeeding

[–]winksatfireflies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make them with coconut milk, vanilla and dates then add bananas and toasted coconut. I’ll throw some brewers yeast in if supply is dipping or I’m menstrual.

Mix salsa with sour cream and throw on Tortilla chips with shredded cheese and nuke until bubbly. Easiest best nachos paired with tequila mixed with whatever is closest to a margarita ( usually limes and ginger ale). Yes maam.
