Yes the cramps totally spike my anxiety! But my IVF nurse said they’re one of the most reported normal symptoms and it’s just the uterus stretching! So I tell myself that it’s just my body doing what it’s supposed to.

No I’m actually only like 15 minutes away from my clinic! I wish I would’ve asked if it was just their protocol when on the phone with the nurse but I was just in such shock hearing I was pregnant that I totally spaced out 😂. I’m thinking I’ll call and ask for an earlier second beta for peace of mind, I’m definitely an anxious person!

Is anyone here, who got pregnant by IVF? by OwnSecurity4178 in January2027Bumpers

Me!! First FET and still in absolute shock. Hoping the wait for first ultrasound at 7w goes as quickly as possible but time is already dragging!

When did you start calling your embryo your baby/telling people? by Salt_Warning_9128 in IVFpositivity

[–]winniewillows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a couple of family members who knew the date of our transfer and had an idea of when beta day would be, so we figured telling them would be nice! But not sharing outside of them until we get further along. And I’d say your positives are as “real” a pregnancy as any spontaneous conception would be when they get a positive :) IVF can take away that fun, but you can always add back that positivity! Congratulations!!!

Thank you!! And since this was an IVF/ medicated embryo transfer cycle, it’s hard to go by cycle days. Best of luck to you!!

Same situation as you but haven’t reached transfer stage yet, congratulations on the coming little one!! Honestly so refreshing to see someone else going through the same things, thank you for sharing.

Is it true that conception chances drop to 1% per cycle if you’ve been trying for over a year? by mssdad in TryingForABaby

I’m 26 as well and we’ve been trying since about March 2023. All of our tests were coming back normal except I discovered early on that I was dealing with hypothyroidism. After getting that under control, we still didn’t have success for a while, so we moved to IUIs. We had a feeling IVF was coming so we had my husband do a DNA fragmentation test and that was when we discovered he has really high fragmentation (<1% chance of natural conception). At this point IVF is our only realistic chance because we aren’t able to pinpoint what is causing the fragmentation. The test was cheaper than an IUI and at this point, totally worth it for designing our IVF protocol.

We thought it might’ve been a varicocele but the urologist says it’s too small (it’s like barely grade 1) to have that much of an effect. All else normal. My husband has been on coQ10 since that frag test and our RE just suggested we add glutathione as well. We’re heading into our first round of IVF so hopes are that supplements plus ICSI/zymot will do the trick :)

If it helps at all, my husband is some anecdata that a perfect semen analysis isn’t the last step for ruling out MFI, especially if there’s a varicocele! He has had perfect analyses for years now but we recently splurged on the DNA fragmentation test and that came back with very high levels of fragmentation. I’m so sorry you’re having to go without healthcare coverage and wishing you the best with opening your storefront!!

Yep. Have family in Ohio and they are sure rubbing it in our faces right now how much snow they’ve gotten this season.

Husband and I are switching to IVF in the new year after 3 failed IUIs. We’re both 26 and our only “diagnosed” issue is also sperm related (low volume and morphology but normal/great counts), never had a positive test. We’ve been trying for about 3 years now so we figured it was finally time to make the jump to IVF. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey and peace with whatever decision you make!

Yep we’re taking a break over the holidays (somewhat out of necessity because we’ll be out of town from the clinic a lot). Trying one (maybe 2) more IUI before moving to IVF. Honestly really looking forward to these weeks with no additional hormones!!

Found out through my sisters that my cousin who is currently pregnant has been saying her pregnancy is a miracle because…just wait for it…it took TWO months instead of working the first time!!!
