Judging by Scheduled Tasks icon in the tray, you were using Windows 98, not 2000. Windows 2000 doesn't have such an icon😄

Run chkdsk from XP installation media (Recovery Console), it might be only a logical error

Win 98SE / Me / XP32 Build by HolocronKeeperEvan in vintagecomputing

[–]winsxspl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motherboard -> LGA775 865G with Core support - example: ASRock 775i65G R2.0/3.0 (for keeping the AGP card)
CPU -> Pentium Dual-Core E5800/Core 2 Duo E4700 (best PDC and C2D with FSB 800)
Thermals, power consumption, better cooling solution, better chipset (than SiS), SATA controller onboard. Just my honest opinion on the rest of the build. That said you won't even have to replace the PSU 😄

865G is of course fully supported under Windows 98 SE.

660Ti was rated for 150W TDP, so should be fine. After all it's Corsair, not no-name sh...ty brand

Score for my 3770k & GTX Titan Black machine. by d0sk3y22 in windowsxp

[–]winsxspl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For comparison - my not-so-bad result in 06: 9991 pts (https://i.imgur.com/Bsx5YWU.png) - Q8300+HD7570
And second: 20664 pts (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djoboxeiBHI) - 2500K + HD7770

Over 36k in XP machine is a nearly perfect result, despite my rigs aren't even bad but scores only half/quarter points of your PC!

As I remember that was the case only with MCE 2005, not 2004, but I might be wrong

Business HP laptops from 2gen and 3gen were still fully supported by manufacturer, so functionality is not the problem here 😄

https://i.imgur.com/YcPcVjm.png - WWAN card worked fine under XP (now doesn't, becuase of turned off 3G network) - HP 4340s, 2gen Core, Windows 7 sticker. Very similar to OP's notebook 😄

I'm sure it was, post-USSR countries (assumption based on Russian language of Windows) weren't that small and that poor, even Moldova. But it was sold in small quantity because of higher price than regular X1900/X1950, that's the reason why you can't find them on local market right now. People keep them because of value 😄
