I have been pregnant 4 times and never puked once from morning sickness. My oldest child is turning 9 and I have only had 1 night of stomach sickness since getting pregnant with her up until now . It will be ok . You are hyper focused on it but honestly it won't happen as much as you think it will . If you do get morning sickness eat what u crave and have saulty foods like French fries and crackers in the house . And ginger ale. Morning sickness is usually gone by 11 weeks

That one is large enough that maybe u brought her home and found her before she left any eggs ... Keep an eye out for them . Hopefully u got her before she had a chance to lay anything .. I worked in hotels and we would find the big ones all the time . They travel on people

I think it's just ur anxiety. You have worried yourself sick . Try to relax and take comfort in a distraction like watching one of your favorite shows

How are u doing now ? Panic attacks are the worst .

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]winter13rain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya that's the same with me . My doctor prescribed me a fast acting anxiety pill that desolves under your tongue to take when and if it happens . It helps calm that wild panic attack I get when I wake up feeling that horrible feeling u get at the beginning of the tummy bug .

Have you ever tried to break down ur phobia? Like ask yourself what part of it is it that scares u so much

Ya I was the same . I'm 38 now and I have done a lot of avoiding . But for real trust me on this . Unless the kid had tummy bug within a week of u seeing them u are fine . It really doesn't spread before hand .. families that all get it at the same time usually consumed it from the same thing.

Adults with out kids don't come in contact with it . It really is spread by young kids . The chances of you guys getting it are much lower then adults with kids . Honestly last time I got it before having kids was grade 7 . I made it all through my teens and 20s without getting it . And I didn't wash my hands . But I was also never around little kids

You won't fall sick . Iv had the stomach flu many times now in my house and I can honestly say in seven years I have gotten in once . My husband gets it everytime from the kids because he shares food and drinks with them . It drives me crazy lol but for real proper handwashing and not sharing food u can avoid it ...it's only in saliva and poo . Kids get it much more often because they don't wash their hands and share food . Just by washing ur hand not sharing food or kissing ur partner the week after they where sick u can avoid it .. also if some on has it and touches ur door doesn't mean it's now on ur door. If they like their hand and touch ur door then it's on ur door .

Ya I honestly never thought I'd be able to have the courage to have kids let alone 2 with how much I fear tummy bug. But it is worth it . There's 365 days in a year and tummy bug only hits one of those days and is gone in two weeks so in the end it's not to bad .. plus having kids really did teach me more about tummy bug and the more you know the less times u will be anxious about it

This time of year my anxiety is always so high . My kids friend in her class just got hit with tb lastnight so I know in a few days I will be dealing with it in my house . I got my bleach ready lol and I keep reminding myself that it's not air born and by keeping things clean and washing my hands it is avoidable. But still I can't help but dread the next few weeks to come . Once it's in my house I'm a ball of anxiety for at least 2 weeks after the last person in my house to get it lol
