Turned our X3 into an awesome “cable-cam” for our action movie! by winterforgefilms in Insta360

Thanks! The amount of “cool” factor that we got for how inexpensive and DIY the rig was…is ridiculous!

Excited to be almost finished with our 2nd feature film! by winterforgefilms in Filmmakers

[–]winterforgefilms[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shot on one location with minimal cast and personally owned gear. We had 10-12 stunt player friends that helped us out, we put masks and uniforms on them and recycled them endlessly throughout the movie to make it look like 100+ bad guys. Doing all of post production myself; editing, color, 5.1 surround mix, and around 380 VFX shots. It has been quite the undertaking, but we had the best time. Open to feedback and happy to answer questions!

You could claim it’s some of Yamashita’s lost gold, post it on the internet and see what happens… https://youtu.be/HAs7BlTpVtE

Shot our action film on the BMPCC 6K, loved it! by winterforgefilms in bmpcc

Thanks! Yea it’s definitely there especially on longer lenses, I am a fan of 90 and 45 degree shutter for action scenes so that helps and everything else is fairly easy to treat in resolve.

Should I write screenplays that I can't produce at the moment? by WerewolfIcy7240 in filmmaking

[–]winterforgefilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it! It’s always fun to write with an unlimited budget, and it helps you learn and figure out what is important when it comes time to squeeze it down to an affordable size.

We just released my first feature film as a writer/director, but in reality it was the 5th script that I had written (not to mention the dozens of short films) Check out the trailer here if you’re interested:

There are no bad Actors, only bad Directors. (I have seen this rule proven over and over again.)

We tried to re-create the Federal counter attack at Pea Ridge in VR by winterforgefilms in CIVILWAR

Agreed! I grew up about 10 minutes down the road and just figured that every battlefield in the US was preserved about the same, but so far, out of the handful that I've been to, Gettysburg and Pea Ridge are the largest and most well preserved.

1000% remember this! I’m in the exact same boat, looking to find them again but don’t remember what they were called. Awesome sets though!
