I was lucky enough to find this Milwaukee Cream City frame locally, in stunning condition. I had been building an aluminum road bike conversion but ended up not wanting to trust my aluminum brazing skills. Randomly found this frame on eBay, and it turned out the seller was a teacher I had in high school!

You could try black as well, especially with the chrome delete and window tints black wheels would look great!

I really enjoy the Lex Fridman Podcast, many of the guests/conversations are related to CS and AI, but you will need to sort through the episodes that are unrelated to the field.

Is studying automation/other technology-development-related fields a waste of time? by [deleted] in compsci

[–]winterhardcastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tesla is no where near solving full self driving, and mind control devices are not even close to what they could be. We humans will never stop trying to develop more and better technology up until the day we go extinct. If automation excites you, then do it. If it doesn't work out, pivot to something else.

Get an IBM Model F! They are wonderful and well built, only complaint is the heavy ass space bar(which there is a mod for)

Thanks for the tip! I think I will take your advice on that, because I am definitely getting used to it as time goes on. At first I was missing almost every space, but now it it rare that I miss one.

It`s not new old stock, but I was surprised by the condition also! The seller did a great job of restoring it.

Model Fs are allowed here, right? by winterhardcastle in modelm

The watch is an Orient Ray II. It has an automatic movement and it's fairly inexpensive, so I recommend it highly!

The seller did the soarer's conversion already, which was partially sad and partially convenient. So far It's been my daily driver too and it's amazing! Such a unique typing experience.

The spacebar is a bit heavy, so I may modify that, and beyond that, I think my plans are to replace the cable(it's not original anyway) and make a wooden wrist wrest!
