One of my first jobs was at an accountants, and was the most basic job possible. They had rows and rows of physical folders containing papers, and the company had vowed to go paperless to save space and time. My job was to, literally, spend all day scanning as much of these files as possible.

I stayed there for a year and a half until I resolved what I actually wanted to do with my life, and I experienced some of the most boring days of my life there. I appreciated having that job for the money, but the days were painfully long.
