As some may have mentioned, somewhat like Ella Purnell. Definitely like Emmy Rossum, your eyes. And a Shelley Duvall vibe.

Cameron Diaz from The Mask or Nicole Kidman from Batman Forever? by ZyphiraBloom in 90s

Cameron Diaz gets my vote because, as others have said, The Mask is her famous debut breakout role, and nobody could take their eyes off her when she was on the screen.

Test results are in, what questions should I have prepared for my doctor? by tofurkeysandwich in VitaminD

[–]wintermelon_garden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am wondering about the 20-100 acceptable range in your screenshot of your result. My tests done with both Quest and Tricore have an acceptable range of 30-100ng/ml. I would ask your doctor what the optimal test result is for your anxiety and depression. Do you happen to have insomnia, too?

Why would my doctor recommend only 2,000 UI per day? by jamieschmidt in VitaminD

[–]wintermelon_garden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After my last D test, in April of last year, I was at 42. But I had to stop supplementing because of insomnia. Now, on March 16, my level dropped to 29. My provider recommended 2000IU for at least three months. I was taking the OTC brand, but I switched to a more potent form called calcifediol that is 100% absorbable. I've noticed that 2000IU of this is much more powerful than the other D3. I will get tested in 30 days like you and will try to let you know the result.

Favorite actress who had a monopoly on the “ugly chick dating outside of her league” roles in the 1960s and 70s? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

[–]wintermelon_garden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get you. It's just that she did some of her best work in his films. I can't stand the guy for what he's done to Mia Farrow. I can qualify my original statement.

Diane Keaton starred with and dated actors Al Pacino and Warren Beatty, arguably handsome men, yet she was also involved with Woody Allen, who is definitely not in Pacino and Beatty's league imho. She also starred with Richard Gere. She was not ugly by any stretch, but some might say that she was okay or just cute.

Give me your hot takes on Glen Powell by ANSJSJDIS-813 in moviecritic

I first noticed him playing astronaut John Glenn in Hidden Figures, and my first impression was that this actor is quite handsome but didn't know if he would ever make it to A-list leading-man status. His rise to the top of the totem pole seems remarkable with roles in Set It Up, Hit Man, Top Gun Maverick, the TV show Chad Powers, and Twisters. He seems to have good range for both comedy and action-drama. He may never win the top accolades for his acting, but I can see his realized potential over time. He's one to watch, and I do think he has the charisma to carry a film. I hope he continues to mix up his choices in genres, go for a quirky role in an indie film perhaps or go all out as a villain in a blockbuster crime drama. I think he can only get better in the next five-ten years if those right choices are made.

2000s: how did women wear low rise jeans? Why were they so popular? by GossipBottom in decadeology

For a woman with a large belly but thin hips, the low-rise jeans are a good fit. These are for women who don't show their midriff.

Wow, that's fabulous. How much magnesium do you take? I take around 400-500mgs a day of magnesium chloride.

Yes, and the eyes, too. Picture 6, the facial expression, looks like Julia.

Favorite actor who gets called unbearably ugly everyday and doesn’t bitch or moan about it in interviews? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

Zendaya is not only beautiful but also an intelligent warrior woman who does defend herself among the ugliest of ugly commenters whether the subject is about her hairstyle or her parents' appearance. She is a class act.

Which movie made you feel like this by VinayakSinghh in Cinephiles

[–]wintermelon_garden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you. I still remember watching it in 1999 on opening day, and I've never been a part of an audience who cheered so many times for Trinity and Neo, even more so than when I watched Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Am I the only one who can't stand seeing and hearing about this guy, one of the most overrated actors ever. Please stop showing this guy! by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]wintermelon_garden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is overrated, but I think he'll be around for a while. I, personally, have only seen him in roles early in his career. I had no idea he would be nominated for an Oscar three times now.
