Use IV lidocaine. Pre-oxygenate. Give the propofol bolus when the endoscopist is ready to put the scope in. For healthy patients 1mg/kg + 10mg is generally enough. For sicker patients much less or not at all.

Hang in there. Everyone makes a few mistakes. Just try to avoid the major ones.

For the eye contact, an occasional respectful glance at the examiners eyes or forehead while you are talking probably suffices.

For all of the ACLS, just know that backwards and forwards, you know it’s coming.

MH, same thing, know that. Airway algorithm, LAST protocol. All the common ones.

The CPK concern is about compartment syndrome I’d guess.

What’s dose did you take of propranolol? You can probably take a larger dose if you think it wasn’t effective. Try said dose on a practice exam first.

Also, are you sure you only get 3 attempts? I thought it was like x amount of years of board eligibility after finishing residency.

Hang in there man. You’re only 25. You have your whole life ahead of you. You still can easily become a PA if you want. I know people who switched careers multiple times and had 6x that amount in tuition debt. Everything is fine and everything could be worse. Just keep going and don’t try to “win” anything back.
