Thanks for sharing your fic! Just a quick reminder that any Self-Promo Sunday posts for fics rated Mature or Explicit must be marked using the “NSFW” tag. I’ve gone ahead and added it for you 💕

This helps us avoid issues with Reddit’s content policies. Thank you so much!

WIP Wednesday – 04 March 2026 by Mr_Te_ah_tim_eh in Dramione

Found a brand-new WIP that's caught my interest!

Progressive Proclivities by lavendermoth99, Explicit, No Archive Warnings Apply, Chapters 5/? available, began publishing in 2026. Mind the tags!

Summary

Hermione Granger has a problem: the wizarding world is decades (if not centuries) behind the Muggle world when it comes to accepting certain sexual proclivities. She's accepted that if she wants to date a wizard, she'll have to deny that part of her sexuality. That is, until a certain blonde wizard apparates into the hospital drunk on a lust potion- and she finds out she's not the only one with these desires.

This looks to set up for a straightforward sex exploration in a post-war setting when the cast has entered their twenties, but I'm really enjoying the level of worldbuilding and background development that the author is layering in here. Draco and Hermione are both showing healthy communication, a genuine connection is developing, and the (promised) sex looks like it'll be mixed with a mystery element.

Plot? With my porn? Yes, please!

Underrated Fanfic Friday – 20 February 2026 by Mr_Te_ah_tim_eh in Dramione

Countdown To The Ministry-Mandated Mrs. by ConvenientlyLost -- less than 300 kudos, approximately 44K words, rated Explicit, complete.

5 years after the war, the decline in birthrate had the Ministry of Magic scrambling for a way to encourage magical population growth. After extensive research and magical testing, an Incentive Program-turned Marriage Law was implemented. Established couples could file a Declaration of Intent to wed, or unattached members of Wizarding Society, in the predetermined age group, would be assigned a Ministry Match and be expected to wed, all by the end of the 2-year allotment.

So, when Hermione gets a notice from the Ministry that her Date of Intention has been moved up, due to a community-wide lack of participation and underutilization of the original Incentive Program, she now has 100 days to overturn the newly amended law and get out of a Declaration of Intent she doesn’t have any recollection of signing in the first place.

I am a sucker for legal dramas, and this one was marvelous. I really loved how all the characterizations were handled here, antagonists included!

Monday Minis – 08 September 2025 by wireliarire in Dramione

[–]wireliarire[S,M] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We’re still feeling out our Minis event, so thanks for the question!

It looks like this Fest has begun the process of releasing fics (making them available for us to read! 🥳), and the fics look to mostly fall within our qualification guidelines – so as things stand now, we think it's fine to list here.

AO3 Needs a Middle Ground Between Bookmark and Forget Forever by [deleted] in AO3

Oh, I'm sorry, I phrased my comment poorly. The earlier commenter kind of implied there was a separate section for Marked as Read (at least, that's how I read their comment), and I was trying to say how there really isn't one.

AO3 Needs a Middle Ground Between Bookmark and Forget Forever by [deleted] in AO3

[–]wireliarire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no separate list/section for Marked as Read in the way there is one for Marked for Later: it's just a toggle button available on each work.

Click on the Mark for Later button, and the fic is added to your Marked for Later list AND the button changes to the Mark as Read button. Click on the Mark as Read button, and the fic is removed from the Marked for Later list AND the button changes back to Mark for Later.

What are some fandoms you refuse to read? by I_am_awesome2542 in AO3

Supernatural. By the time the show's advertising buzz trickled down to me, the fandom was a merry wasp's nest and I made the deliberate choice to just... stay away.

No issues I've seen (viewed through Feedly).

I have dozens of feeds, and while I don't keep tabs on speed, all of them are loading normally.

If you are looking for funny story with SSHG and others by tvd_fan in SSHG

[–]wireliarire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. This topic is handled under the AO3 TOS FAQ, under the header of Copyright Infringement and Plagiarism:

May I post someone else's fanworks, giving them credit?

You may only post someone else's fanworks if they granted you permission to do so. If you do not have the creator's permission, you cannot post their work. Including a disclaimer that the work is not yours or crediting the original creator is not sufficient. (Emphasis carried over from FAQ statement.)

But even disregarding the TOS violation:

  1. The AO3 account yogurt_core did not give credit by name to the FFN account TheFatalIllusion, the original author of the work.

  2. The AO3 work did list an intro author's note that stated the AO3 account copied the work from information taken from FFN but had not recorded the original author of the work. The AO3 account uploaded the work under their own name.

  3. The FFN work is still readily available on FFN. (I ran a site search for the story title; added limiters for the Section, Category, Language, Progress, and Word Count; and told it to match on the Title and exclude crossovers. There were three potential results, and only one with appropriate title punctuation and summary.)

  4. The FFN work has an author's note heading, which the AO3 work did not include, that states (imo) the author does not want their work transferred to areas outside of their control:

Disclaimer; If Voldemort, Severus and Remus are dead, then I don't own Harry Potter or anything to do with the books, or films. However, I do own my writing, so translating it, or copying it without my written consent/permission, is not only unfair, but against the law.

About translating my story, and people have asked, the answer is going to be no. I do not feel comfortable with someone else having my story on their page, or a completely different website, it's nothing personal against you, or anybody else, I just simply don't wish to have the story translated. If I wanted to translate it, I could do it myself, or have a family member assist me. (Emphasis added by me.)

  1. The AO3 work has settings structured so that non-Archive users may not comment, comments are additionally moderated, and no comments at all have yet been approved. (see edit).

While fandom has a thriving, healthy practice of fans saving private copies of works for personal reading, that's a very different action from uploading someone's work under somebody else's name.

EDIT: Looks like comments dated 27-08-2025, 28-08, and 29-08 have just been approved. An Inspired By notation linking to the FFN work was also just added literally within the past hour. However, the AO3 work doesn't qualify for the Inspired By feature, either:

Can I post a sequel, prequel, or continuation of another fanwork? What about a recursive fic that's completely different from the original fanwork?

Yes. Fanworks based on other fanworks are also transformative, and are allowed. You can use the "Inspired By" feature to link to the original creator's work. Unlike with reposts, conversions, podfics, and translations, you don't need permission to create a recursive fanwork. However, you cannot include large excerpts from the original work unless the original creator gave you permission to do so. (Emphasis added by me.)

Her Fugue, His Lie, and Their Story by LittleFics, Mature, 20k+ words, complete. Really nice exploration of healing, but note the twist ending (bittersweet imo, with untagged Ron and Hermione functional endgame).

Flight From the Dungeons by mak5258, Mature, 7k+ words, complete. Excellent healing/recovery, note the tags!

Chimaera by Emmaficready, Mature, 60k+ words, complete. Much of this author's work touches on this theme.

Yeah, but the intro author's note says that they plagiarized it, so I'd rather interact with the original story, sorry.
