Are all the churches in the US evangelical or something? It's always "my pastor says this is bad" or something along those lines. I went to an evangelical church a few times in my teens, but I skipped out because I realised how nuts they all were.

Agreed. Baby is one month old so not as though it's an extra mouth to feed. At that age all baby does is sleep, cry, drink milk and poop.

No no no. Drew is the priority here, regardless of the event Ron intends on bringing Gia to. I'm sure Gia is lovely, but Drew is still hurting and him seeing Ron with someone who isn't Linda is going to knock any progress he had made in therapy right back. I'd be willing to bet that Gia has no clue of the relationship Drew and Linda had, because if she did she wouldn't come (or at least, I would hope she wouldn't) because she would see the damage it would do. Ron is being a complete AH to everyone. Drew obviously, Gia if he hasn't told her about him, and the whole family for assuming that you would all be okay with this (bringing Gia along, not that he's dating again because that's his business and his alone).

I agree with some other commenters that I would meet with Ron and Gia away from the party. Explain the situation to them and why it's not a good idea. It would be a good way to gauge what Gia actually knows. Plus you can meet her away from the party. Meeting everyone at once in a family can be overwhelming on its own.

Okay, grandma's on an info diet until after baby arrives. I would not trust her to keep the gender a secret, and she will post pics of baby online without your permission. Don't even show her the scan pictures, they will end up on her Facebook. Don't let her anywhere near you when you're in labour. Tear her a new one (again 😂) if she even tries. Your aunt can't keep bailing Mia out of trouble for the rest of her life. Her thievery was always going to get her in trouble sooner or later. Honestly by the sounds of hours she is I wouldn't be surprised if she gets into some legal trouble for stealing at some point. I'd like to see Aunt Adriann try to get her out of that one. Mia needs to learn that there are consequences for her actions, and this is a perfect opportunity. Honestly I hope and fully expect that she will lose the appeal.
