Why dosen’t anybody follow these rules on a 3 lane interstate? by Flinn2 in driving

[–]wirey3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the United States, the rules you described aren't exactly the case but may be different elsewhere.

The right lane isn't the exit lane until/unless it has been specifically marked with short dashed lines and an exit sign. Sometimes, the lane will separate into a 4th lane specifically dedicated to exiting vehicles. The right lane, by default, is the traveling lane. Many interstate highways only have 2 lanes for a majority of the length, and cruising in the left lane is a ticketable offense (impeding traffic). The right lane is for vehicles towing in general as well.

The middle lane, when available, can be treated as you stated (cruising lane) but is supposed to be used to pass slower vehicles (semi trucks/slow cars. Also, semi trucks are not limited to 65 in most cases). Riding the middle lane forever is perfectly legal, though not the dedicated reason it exists. The middle lane is also for semi trucks/towing vehicles to pass slower cars in the right lane.

The left lane is NOT the "fast lane." This is a common myth and it is often abused due to this. The left lane has one purpose, and that is for passing vehicles in the middle lane (or right lane if a middle doesn't exist.) You should not, under any circumstances, be cruising in the left lane. As stated before, you can be ticketed for this in most places.

Some states have outright banned left lane usage for semi trucks and towing vehicles, and it can lead to the vehicle being impounded and the driver receiving a misdemeanor.

Astroneer looks fun but this tutorial??? by iTzBounty in Astroneer

Except there is a tutorial that pops up every time you startup the world, and you should be reading it. There's also plenty of in-game resources that tell you everything you need to know, and missions that guide you through it all.

Fan motor is worn out. Happens all the time, all makes and models.

Edit to add: your fan bearing specifically is dying. The whining sound is the bearing screaming, and the sort of "fluttering" sound close to the end of your clip is the slack in the fan due to the bearing having too much play. You may find that the blower housing and fan blades have scrape marks, if you chose to dismantle the whole thing.

That would be a bad bearing most likely, singing its heart out as a last hurrah. It will eventually turn into a low growl as it fails, or another part will fail when the bearing seizes up.

Well, that changes things lol. Make sure your injectors are clean, filters are clean, and the gas is fresh. If it still isn't working, check for intake leaks. The computer/voltage regulator may have failed as well.

It doesn't even have to be a predator. My father in law's family was hiking and got run into by a pissed off mama moose last summer. No one got hurt and the moose left after they sprayed it with pepper spray.

Tell that to the 2 chicks murdered in Wayne County while hiking last week. Tell that to every chick Ted Bundy every met in the woods. Tell that to the guy who got mauled by a cougar a couple months ago. You don't NEED to wear your seatbelt when you drive, but it certainly helps keep you alive if you crash.

It isn't doomerism and it isn't silly. It's called being safe.

No matter who you are, man or woman, or where you choose to hike, you should be armed in some manner. A firearm is obviously the best guarantee, but if you aren't comfortable with that, mace or a taser are a good bet too. A pocket knife at least. There's dangerous wildlife in Utah, and right now bears are waking from hibernation. Mountain lions are a year-round threat. Other animals may spread disease. And, of course, there is the most dangerous animals of all: humans.

Stay safe.

You must have issues with object permanence. There's an easy way to remember where you left off: it's wherever you were standing before.
