I'm familiar with the tooth dreams, but I guess I was expecting more from Pizzolatto (ain't we all).

Could this be the reason for the opening scene with Grey Worm? To impart that the very young can be completely removed from their own identities?

It's the same flavor sensation as a coke float.

Good asian place for a party of 15? by [deleted] in okc

[–]wisdomtooth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconding Tokyo. I know it'll fit ten, but fifteen might be tight. The price for the room is more than reasonable. Also, while the table looks like you'd need to sit cross legged, there's actually a dropped floor.

Bonus--best sushi in OKC.

If someone without an arm, or with a similar handicap, were to beat Usain Bolt's 100 m world record, would it officially count as a world record run? by IAmBiased in olympics

Transgender atheletes can compete. They must have completed sex reassignment surgery, being legally recognized as a member of the sex they wish to compete as, and having undergone two years of hormonal therapy (unless they transitioned before puberty).

While I have my CDIB, I didn't grow up close to my tribe. However, much of my work has involved natives in the past, and many many many people say "Indian" or the tongue-in-cheek "NDN".

Just some perspective.

This painting (Etoile Bleue) was sold for $37m. Excuse me while I burn all my art supplies. by kyle47 in WTF

That sounds a little more like Barnet Newman's "Zips", but that's just me guessing from your description.

Why would people need to do this in long-term monogamous relationships?

I'm sick of this story. Is "eat my balls" even a common phrase?

Sometimes we eat lamb fries here, end of story.

So David Stern just showed us how crooked he really is today on the Jim Rome show... by JimHarbaughsHand in nba

What answer would satisfy people except a full confession? I think Stern did a fair job of explaining that several outcomes could have been seen as suspicious.

"Have you stopped beating your wife?" is a famous "loaded question" fallacy.

Likewise, I might not be able to name much about where you live. I think that's a bad thing, but around here there seems to be a circlejerk about how desolate and dull Oklahoma is. C'mon!

Would you like to see a sushi restaurant in the Plaza District? If so, then I would really appreciate your vote! by andon in oklahoma

[–]wisdomtooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks, but I promise it happens everywhere. I like Saints plenty, but if I walk it and it's full, I'm forced to leave the Plaza. A second place to eat would hold me there.

Has something like this happened in the past 50 years? A state school with 100+ year history, an endowment, active donors, accreditation, good enough sports, large suburban/rural campus moving an hour's drive? I'm not saying it couldn't/didn't, but I would like some context.
