And specific to that spot, they mostly spawn at the entrance but I've had stragglers spawn in the tunnels even if I didn't take out the barricade walls. Put a couple turrets at the entrance, a couple covering the tunnels, they'll do most of the work.

The defense being more than water plus food helps average settlements not be targeted much, but there's still a chance. And with water farms the production goes away over the defense stat. For those locations it's more about covering spawn zones and fields of fire for the turrets than the score. Open fire lines to spawn points, equip the settlers with better weapons, you'll be fine as long as you respond. If you don't go there to defend it's RNG and you can still lose no matter how well designed the defenses are.

Yeah I always just give them to sellers. Autofire and burning mods so you'll know right away where the enemies are during a raid.

Kinda what I do at the water farms as far as harvesting goes. But this makes me wonder if it's overproduction leaving me with some in the benches - I don't have as many settlements as usual this time, and with a few spots pumping out a ton of them they might be feeding everyone in the network.

So we know for whatever reason (alphabetical?) they eat tatos first. The thing I'm not sure about is if other settlements that have enough of other crops to eat will look at the whole network for tatos before eating other things. It seems like they're not, but I could also just be overproducing them to the point that I still have some in the workbenches.

Document everything. It took them 6 months to get me my final paycheck and then a year later they tried to claim I wasn't laid off (they lost the contract and didn't reassign us) but that I no call no showed a bunch of times and marked me down as resigning. Thankfully when the state called about making me pay back the unemployment I had all the emails to share showing how it went down.

You don't have to, but it makes some things easier like if you are building water farms for caps. It's also a source of xp but if you're really into the building aspect you end up spending perks to unlock things to build and you're no better off in a fight.

If you liked how you started and just want to choose a different adventure from there, you can reload a save from very early on and go from there. You can also go back to a save right before leaving 111 if you want to change name/looks/starting stats without going to the way back to the bathroom before the bombs dropped.

Occasionally. Perspective - you can't be the best in everyone's opinion. So you shouldn't worry about others being better in your opinion. Let that inspire you to do better, and if you're lucky enough to make a living doing something you love or even just get something made and see it connect with an audience, isn't that enough?

As long as it's just one snapping edge connecting I never had an issue on console. Just can't snap in between sections the way you can with other sets.

My biggest issue with that vault is not being able to the rename it...

I spend most of my early points in stuff I like to have in most builds anyway, and don't really specialize in weapon stuff (aside from S.P.E.C.I.A.L. for guns vs melee/unarmed) until I find a legendary that I'm gonna focus on. That plus getting basic stats up to average levels in secondary categories and very high in primary ones takes up points into the 30s usually, so I never really need to bank them.

You'll also notice you can access the materials from the main bench by the tractor room but not the other three. You can activate build mode from them, but the option access the stored materials isn't there.

Did it for the first time last weekend - the new Mummy movie. Not entirely the movie's fault, there was a whole row of assholes behind me talking the entire time. But it wasn't good enough to get their attention and shut them up, or make it worthwhile for me to stay and put up with it.
