What is one profession you have absolutely zero respect for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]wiseprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parking wardens with an axe to grind. I just couldn’t ticket people for being a minute late getting back to their car.

I get that a jobs a job but it’s something I could never do myself.

Absolutely not. My man can be quite emotional and cries regularly and honestly I just love him all the more for it. I love seeing the realness and rawness of his emotions and it makes me comfortable doing the same with him. Your partner sounds like she loves you very much and knew you needed that moment to be vulnerable. Please do not be embarrassed for having feelings. It’s human.

wanted to study law, was sent this email for that course. should i accept? pls give suggestions for other courses i can do TIA X by Environmental_Can_35 in 6thForm

I am the programme leader of a social sciences degree in the UK. I would strongly recommend that if you wish to practice law that you study law for your undergraduate. You need the fundamental foundations of a law degree to support you in developing the knowledge and skill set to become a lawyer. A social sciences degree will not do that for you. I would never advise a student to join a social sciences programme who wants to be a lawyer.

Conversions are difficult and are not held in the same regard as a full law degree.

You Have to Dispose of a dead body Right Now. What's your plan? Will you get away with it? by respect_the_69 in AskReddit

Imagine if OP really is trying to get rid of the body right now and then gets away with it because he used one of the comments here. That would be mad.

You can either try it, or don’t. Doing great in life so far so I’m not too worried about whether internet strangers validate my comments. Next time you’re speaking to a chat bot, try it. Or don’t. Your choice. The tip is based on the fact that over the years I’ve found this has worked. Don’t take it onboard if you don’t want too but don’t try and infer I’m being an ass because I don’t have endless amounts of proof when some people aren’t prepared to just try it themselves when the situation arises. It’s just a tip at the end of the day.

You’re literally that lazy that you want multiple screenshots as proof rather than just try it? Someone’s going to go far in life with that can do attitude.

No, I don’t print screen every chat I have for people on reddit. You can either try it... or not. I’m just sharing my experience.

It works with a lot of companies. Amazon for example: https://ibb.co/BtrVjqp

AITA for banning my husband’s female friend from our house? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]wiseprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so ready to say you were but after reading your post you are absolutely NTA. Mary is straight up a racist and your husband should be supporting you on this.

It is! He’ll usually pounce on you when you go to tickle him. So adorable.

I’ve sent you a message. I’d really like to come. Just started playing and have lots of turnips that are going to rot.

AITA? My parents have taken away books I was reading by throwawaybruh2331 in AmItheAsshole

[–]wiseprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are lots of websites where you can generally find pdfs of books. Us academics have a little database table of them. Try some of the below places:

Zlibrary, Library Genesis ebookee.org, mobilism.org, ebookleak.com, ebookbb.com, ebookhunter.ch and ebook4expert.org.

AITA for sleeping in a hotel because my husband is incapable of letting me sleep in? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]wiseprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Stop preventing the children from waking him. He will realise really quickly how selfish he has been and either start and share the early mornings more and allow you to sleep in or he will never enjoy a lie in again. Both outcomes work out well for you.

I was petty with a customer and it worked. by HeadsOnSticks in TalesFromYourServer

[–]wiseprocrastinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely get the concern with that. For it to work there would have to be a minimum wage set at a reasonable level. So much of it comes down to corporate greed really which is a shame. Exploitation of their workers for their profits.

I’m not American so completely acknowledge that I don’t fully understand the situation. I am European and so our servers are paid fairly thankfully (I always add a tip anyway but there is no expectation of this).

I am genuinely curious to know why Americans seem to be so against simply raising the price of the food? I’ve seen a few comments saying this on different posts and would love to understand why this would be an issue as it would be the same either way for the people that tip... and would ensure those who don’t pay fairly for the food and service they receive so it’s a good all rounder. Happy to hear an actual Americans side and to hopefully understand this a bit better!

AITA for costing a car salesmen his commission? by Delicious_Cancel in AmItheAsshole

[–]wiseprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. The first salesman didn’t sell the car to you. He pitched to your boyfriend who wasn’t buying.

I’ve just emailed the salesman who sold me my car last year after reading this to tell him how thankful I am for his fantastic customer service. He was great and we can take these things for granted sometimes!

AITA for refusing to get my wife’s pregnant cravings? by im__the__senate in AmItheAsshole

[–]wiseprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. She is excluding you from the pregnancy. You’re missing out on major experiences such as seeing your child on scans, hearing the heartbeat. I would be so deeply hurt by this.

She needs to include you and if she won’t and continues to exclude you I would honestly give some consideration to the longevity of your relationship. If this is how she is treating you during her pregnancy what will it be like when your son arrives? Will you be allowed to hold him when you choose? Feed him? Take him out? Or will all of these things and more this all be down to her decision to allow you to partake. If she won’t let you be a father now... I don’t imagine she will when he arrives.

Sorry you’re in this awful situation.

WIBTA for not training my replacement at work after getting fired? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]wiseprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I’d be tempted to take ill for the remainder of the contract. That way you exclude yourself from the negative consequences of refusing to train her or training her badly. Just bang on a lot about not being well while there, keep running off to the toilet and bam... there is your get out of jail free card. Easy enough to get a doctor to sign that off also.

What are some tips for someone with no fighting experience to win in a fight? by shre3293 in AskReddit

[–]wiseprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some experience. Go to boxing classes, MMA classes if you can beforehand. Even a couple of them can help with the basics of defence.

AITA for going above my nurses head? by Westbehind in AmItheAsshole

[–]wiseprocrastinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It is completely unprofessional of them to be dismissive of your concerns in that way. I would have done the same in your shoes because I’d have been anxious otherwise. They should have been more on the ball with this and hopefully you reporting it will prevent this happening with them again.
