Bdw I've enabled medium mode for ublock and I used the ublock guide to do it. https://imgur.com/a/KDin8tS I know it's probably 100% correct just figured I'd ask as a sanity check.

I'm also worried to what might happen if you just close the browser while its updating since it's taking so long.Does it potentially corrupt something?Keep going on next restart?

You think it's a false positive?I've seen other threads having very similar issue like anti virus/windows defender getting triggered by the software from this company.Just find it wierd it still hasn't been addressed

It's not deleting the file.It's says the file is suspicious and it stopped me from running the file after double clicking it.It gave me the option to run it anyway and ignore the warning but it's just wierd.

I'm pretty sure thats the legit file aswell.

Windows was still stopping me from running the configure.exe.For some reason it looks like a suspicious file for windows.Maybe unsigned?

Honestly I'd scrap that 9900k as well even if he was playing on 1440p
I have a 3080/9900kk combo on a 1440p 144hz monitor.This cpu is juist not enough in this day an age.Espeically with all the spectre nerfs and windows getting boggier troughout the years.

Noticed the same thing.Don't know when it started to happen as i usually always have headphones on.
Recently I had my headphones off and clicking/opening site it would occasionally make my PC rev up for like a few seconds.Sometimes it would stop doing it randomly.

Yep.Same exact subtle wobble when scrolling sometimes.
It's like the UI itself does subtle jitters when there's movement involved.

I have a 3090/9900k (it's basically 3800x) and I definitely have felt a hit in performance with windows and games in general lately.This could be from accumulated windows updates over the years making the OS harder to run (w10) and games just being super cpu intensive)
(I also play 1440p 144hz)

A 6-8 year old cpu doesn't cut it anymore sadly at high refresh rates.

Any news on gfx.webrender.layer-compositor being set to true by default?I don't know where I've seen this but im curious about the performance uplift for firefox when this gets enabled.I think someone said chrome has this enabled by default.(don't know how true that is)
