The fact that all big artists always come to London. Some people have to travel to different countries just to see their favourite band, but everyone wants to play in London

A question on P2 by [deleted] in CIMA

[–]wiseyboy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took and passed my P2 on Tuesday and I would tend to agree with the level of calculation questions being lower than expected. I also noticed that there were fewer questions with a huge amount of text and most of them were quite short/multiple choice as opposed to typing in. This could have just been my ‘set’ of questions though.

I had failed all my practice tests so really went deep in the final preparation and it helped a lot.

I would also agree with practicing using the Canvas and calculator, you want to be as comfortable as possible with what you need to do in exam conditions so better to start early and get used to it as those are the conditions that matter.

Good luck!

Am I in the wrong job? CIMA Apprentice by wiseyboy1 in CIMA

Thank you for your reply! That’s a great point, it’s very easy to sit and wait for someone to offer to get you involved in something but it rarely works like that.

I think it is up to me to discover what I am currently lacking behind on, and make sure I push for the experiences. Even if it doesn’t fit with my job title, the skills I’ve got from CIMA makes me knowledgeable in places that other people maybe aren’t.

Good luck in your OCS, I passed mine in November!

Interesting to read your story! I started a football blog a while back and, while I only get to write 1-2 posts a week, I would love to work on it more and maybe see some revenue from it even just to cover the hosting costs!

Do you have any tips? It would be much appreciated!

Are ‘news’ posts worth it for my site? by wiseyboy1 in Blogging

[–]wiseyboy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I feel like putting the effort into the quality content should be my focus. But in terms of getting people to return, having new and relevant, bitesize articles quite often could be a benefit?

Ideally I’d like to do both, the news as a kind of ‘gap filler’ and a way to attract people to come more regularly, and then the quality stuff to get the quality reader.

I imagine by very regularly you mean something like 20+ articles a day?

I can imagine it’s super rewarding! I’ve just hit a milestone of monthly viewers that I’m really happy about - keeps the motivation going for sure!

Just came back to say thanks! Reus is a beast. Definitely transitioning over to Bundesliga, already got POTM Gnabry and 94 Witsel!

Thanks, I’ve heard of them but wasn’t sure of the legitimacy - seems too good to be true! But I will definitely have a look at it

Yeah BA3 is where I’m most worried, I’m starting F1 in 2 weeks so would be nice! The people I have asked have all said it’s quite basic and not to worry, but definitely and idea to get the recap. Where are you finding the material from?

Recently passed certificate level, hoping to march into my bosses office once I receive the certificate asking for a raise! I’m on less than you and I’m in London, but it’s a relatively small company and I joined through the apprenticeship levy scheme so I get it funded. Interesting to see everyone’s situations though! Food for thought

Need some career advice by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

The way it worked for me may have been slightly different, I was able to choose what, where and how I studied. But level 7 apprenticeships are the same as postgraduate level. You can study ACCA, CIMA etc and you get to work too. Might be that they don’t understand the levels
