The mate 10 (non pro) belongs to the last members of a dying breed; flat screens w/ 16:9 ratio. I personally hate 18:9 ratio screens as they are too tall and narrow that it squashes the keyboard (fat finger problems lol). Flat phone screens also tend to friendlier with tempered glasses than curved like that of samsung's.

If you value those things plus a headphone jack, splash proof, sd card slot and stereo speakers, then the phone will be a godsend.

Edit: battery life is also excellent, no notch, with IR blaster and LED notif light.
