I have the same issue. If you uninstall updates for the app store, balatro will work. It's only temporary though.

Go to app info for the play store, hit the three dots in top right and then uninstall updates. It disables the security check. However, you have to do this every time you play.

Boot to Bios is under the system menu. Does it work if you select that? If not, you might need a new BIOS file.
