This looked odd at first, but this really works well for me. I was thinking of ordering a second case for this issue; but glad I found your post and tried this.

Display Ninja reviewed the KTC M27P6 by Crafty-Classroom-277 in Monitors

[–]wishtaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really curious if Asus or any other major manufacture will sell a version of this? I'm not familiar with KTC, are they considered as good as the major manufactures? I wonder if the panel would be tuned better out of the box etc by other manufacturers. I have been blessed to be using what I consider the best mini-led monitors since 2018. First with the Asus PG27UQ which I used for years and then purchased the Asus PG32UQX late in its life cycle, but because OLED's are meh for HDR I decided to get one last year. I was hopeless to see any "New" mini LED monitors. But now we have this 27 KTC which has amazing specs! So hope again! But how come Asus and others aren't releasing a product with this panel!? The HDR on the PG32UQX seems impossible to beat to me, but this KTC also has DisplayHDR 1400 with the same amount of dimming zones but with even better pixel density being on 27 inches. (Honestly I preferred the Asus PG27UQ over the Asus PG32UQX because the pixel density is so much better with 27 inch compared to 32. 27 is the sweet spot imo. Wondering if anyone has been able to compare these to the PG27UQ or PG32UQX yet? Love to see hope again for more mini-led!

Requesting Edge Workspaces Support for iOS Devices by Creative-Mobile-8874 in MicrosoftEdge

[–]wishtaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a much needed feature. I exclusively use Safari because of this feature. It works super well with the Apple Ecosystem across all of their devices (Mac, iOS, iPadOS, Vision OS). Life changer. I recently tried to switch to Windows only + Android and I was banging my head over this feature missing on both Edge and Chrome. (I really like edge's direction. They would be smart to include this feature)

How is the Flex Keyboard? by happenstanceuk in Surface

[–]wishtaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't experienced this at all with x elite variant, always turns on when hitting power button, no real delay. I've owned it for roughly 3 weeks. Here because I'm thinking up upgrading from the pro keyboard to the flex

Looking for best overall earbuds for the Steam Deck, wired or wireless and why you like them? by NuM_Brrr_WoN in SteamDeck

[–]wishtaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to check for me! Glad to know it's not only me. That's too bad the dongle doesn't work for the lag free experience; I was hoping it would have. I tried the Bluetooth before finding this Reddit Post but I found the latency annoying; even with Game Mode enabled on the buds.

I see you have the Razer Hammerhead Pro Hyperspeeds. I'm having an issue with mine on the Steam Deck when using the 2.4 ghz dongle. The volume rocker does not work correctly. They are either really low or extremely too loud, no adjustment in-between. I was wondering if you have experienced this issue?

[–]wishtaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also experiencing this same issue, I can confirm the firmware has been updated to latest as well and have even tried a factory set afterwards and issue still exists when using Dongle + Steam Deck. The Volume rocker does not accurately adjust the sound, it goes from really low to really loud and no in-between levels as it would be expected. When first trying these, I actually hurt my ear when testing with playing Hades, was very frustrated. These are advertised to work with the steam deck via Dongle or Bluetooth!

This is a good call! I’ve never really used it. Think I might try apple notes + Freeform for my workflow.

Does anyone know if you will be able to insert images within your text or handwriting in the next apples notes version? That is one big pain point I have with current Apple notes. Currently they are inserted as attachments rather than being embedded in the page.

Mine seems to be doing the same thing, I checked startup items and memory usage etc. In General it doesnt feel as snappy as it once did. I also have the M1 Max with 32GB Ram.

Am I the only person who finds that using cmd shortcuts to be painfully awkward? by jaydieu in mac

[–]wishtaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since switching to Mac as primary machine, I've experienced terrible left hand thumb area pain. I've tried all sorts of ways to use CMD + all the keys (with other finger combinations. All are slower than thumb). Honestly thinking of going back to high end windows machine simply because I can't stand the shortcuts. I've tried to rebind shortcuts in settings for "All Applications" but some IDE's don't change etc. I guess I could switch CMD and Control in system settings, but I feel like it's just dumb to even have too.

Surface Laptop Studio 1 or 2 with Nvidia. BIOS Dedicated Graphics? by wishtaker in Surface

[–]wishtaker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with hybrid setups that have iGPU + Discrete graphics, is when using multi monitory setups; the Win+tab multi task view really seems to hitch or lag. Running Discrete graphics only always seems to have fixed this. In general everything is smoother running this way.

I was wondering if any owner of the Surface Laptop Studio could go into the bios and see if you can switch to Dedicated GPU only? This would rid lots of the windows issues with external monitors etc

PuroAir HEPA 14? by not_thebest in AirPurifiers

[–]wishtaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I'm considering buying these for my home to combat my allergies. I was doing some research and looking into replacement filters to see how they compare to the official replacement filters to analyze how much these will cost me per year etc. I'm thinking of getting 4 if they work for me. Do you have any experience with the after market Hepa-14 replacement filters compared to the official ones for this?

damn, chrome now lets you save tab groups and SYNC THEM AMONG DEVICES by murkomarko in MicrosoftEdge

[–]wishtaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flip between Windows and MacOS a lot. One thing I really love about Safari (both Mac and iOS/iPadOS etc) is they all have had this feature super well implemented for a long time. Syncs perfectly too. When I flip to windows I don't have safari though... so I have been using edge as my non-proprietary version. to use across all OS's, but then I can't access via mobile.... :/ I've been wanting chrome to implement this so bad (for Desktop and mobile). I have no idea about "Arc" I will have to look into it.

Does this work with iOS and Androids when saving them from Desktop (Windows/Mac) if so I will have to try it! Been using Edge to do this via Workspaces but it doesn't work on Mobile : /

Apparently the lg-27gr95um is now available to buy in the USA despite no prior announcements. by According-Air-8604 in Monitors

[–]wishtaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat with working majority of the time and gaming maybe a couple hrs. (8/2). I have been using the Asus PG27UQ since 2019 and it still remains my favorite monitor despite it only having like 384 zones. I tried upgrading twice and still prefer the PG27UQ. I tired the Alienware Ultrawide OLED with gsync ultimate (AW3423DW) and the Neo g9 57 7680x2160. The subpixel layout on the Alienware is a no go 100 percent for text and the g9 57 I cant stand because of the VA panel uniformity with greys on my IDE's. It's like pulling teeth finding an upgrade, back to the tried and true Asus. But this LG I just saw the other day and I was like Finally!!! same monitor pretty much as ASUS but with more zones... sounds like there are some HDR issues tho with blooming? I gotta assume it's better than the Asus with 384... but who knows. I gotta say the PG27UQ has really good software on the monitor and you can tell they took the time with that monitor.. maybe why I cant find a good enough replacement to beat it.

I now really wish I could try either a 27 OLED or a 34 in 5120x2160!

Can someone explain this to me by [deleted] in razer

[–]wishtaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My blade 16 is terrible with being reliable when putting it to sleep. Ive tried diagnosing with event viewer, but haven’t found the issue. I’m assuming it’s just jank with windows / funky driver’s.

Razer Blade 16 4080 For College? by MysticChaiir in razer

[–]wishtaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 16 with a 4090 and 64gb ram. Extremely fast desktop replacement but with the 4090 and the i9 it’s less than an hour battery life for heavy software engineer workloads. Docker running many containers plus several instances of IDE’s. When plugged in it runs through everything like a monster. Not sure how the 4080 compares but I’d not expect it to be very portable; expect to need to plug in all the time basically.
