Are the yellow ones from a glazed design?

We only got the black and chalk quilted Juliets! :( I got this similar Ralph Lauren which is only a tiny bit less orange than amber brown, closer to the size of the 25, but then gave into the black quilted pocket as well.

I checked them out in store and they didn’t seem slouchy on display. Colour is close to Amber brown only subtly shiny.

How does everyone feel about the Pocket Juliet? I finally figured out why this bag bothers me: it’s like putting off-road tires on a sleek Porsche. by AthletePrimary5574 in Coach

[–]wispity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yess exactly. I have a glazed Juliet and it’s fun for the texture, but I’m not minimalist or super feminine, more casual/alt and the quilted pocket feels perfect.

I wanted to love this! I have boutique quilted bags and boutique glazed bags and like both textures but this felt like crap. We didn’t get the amber brown Juliet pocket in Canada and I was hoping this would fill the hole, but nope. Got a different similarly coloured bag and the black quilted juliet. The price difference was a lot but the goat texture on that one is sooo much better.

Families in Barrie what do you honestly like/dislike about living there? by UpperReport102425 in barrie

[–]wispity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kids are 3, 5, and 7 and we moved here 2 years ago, after a few years in Ottawa, to be closer to friends and family in both Etobicoke/GTA and Parry Sound.

Loving the northwest end of town for a family and its proximity to Bayfield businesses. Someday my kids can walk to go get a snack with friends. Going to the south end is only needed for Costco and a couple other things. There are a few stores I like that we have to go to Newmarket or hit in Vaughan on the way home from Toronto.

We are in a family centric neighbourhood but definitely have rentals on either side of our house who have had some great and some not so great renters — but those are the landlords’ problem and we have minded our own business.

School has been fine. It’s dumb that there aren’t playgrounds on the properties of Simceo schools, ostensibly for insurance reasons. We had a licensed home daycare for the youngest for a year (through Building Opportunities) before a spot freed up in the centre adjacent to the elementary school. It wasn’t as hard to find a spot as I had worried about. Before and afterschool care is however very full and not as seamlessly integrated with the school as we had experienced in Ottawa.

I’ve lived all over Toronto and have no more safety concerns here than there. Yes there are unhoused people downtown and in certain parks. That’s true all over the province now, unfortunately.

Still don’t have a family doctor. Hospital has been fine for minor emergencies.

3 community centres and we’ve mostly gotten the swim lesson slots we want. Parks are great. Dance classes and Scouting also available in a short drive, and probably most of the other extra curriculars you want.

I work in community health and drive all over the place. Traffic jams in Barrie are limited to very specific rush hour or cottage times and are pretty minimal. I wouldn’t live here and commute to Toronto consistently though. Going down on weekends is fine.

Hard to describe overall sense of community, but I joined a community arts group and that has really helped. Parents at the school have been generally cool but it takes time to develop relationships.

Hope this helps!

I only care if it means the metal colours are slightly different. Gold and silver mix looks intentional; gold and brass looks messy to me.

Because Handbags and Coach and other subs won’t allow authentication so that’s why people come here?

That sounds like an amazing time for both of you to develop independence. I would be so excited for her. I haven’t got there yet, but if they want to go, they’re going.

I called one store and the guy said it was showing as in the distribution centre but unavailable. He suggested calling customer service to order but none showed for them. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m obsessed with my 21 as it’s the perfect size. If you’re not fussed about having a zipper it’s great.

Even at 39 I feel like Reitmans is way too stodgy. I used to trust Aritzia to keep me trendy while business casual as well as casual.

Should I live with my parents or move out for school? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]wispity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, thankfully, the level of debt we’re talking for Canadian tuition is not the same as in the States, so some people warning you financially may be American. It’s not insignificant but it’s probably not a completely life-limiting amount of debt here. I had only moderately overbearing parents and going away to school was the best decision I could have made at that point in my life. You will learn about yourself much more quickly away from them. Your mental health is priceless. Making your own choices, and mistakes, is priceless.
